I am trying to create a report but get 'error occurred while creating the report'. The application has 14 forms & 25 views.Currently there are no reports. I am using the 'Business Free Edition'. I tried creating a report from different views with the same result. Any idea what is causing this error? Herb Wexler
Disable RTF not working
I have a form with a RTF that is disabled. However users can type in the box and on submit the changes are saved. The RTF field is used to display information from a RTF field on a linked form. All of the toolbar controls are unchecked. Herb Wexler
data validation
I was trying to validate a form with the following code: if (count(Address[Address_Name == input.Address_Name && client_code == input.client_code]) > 0) { alert ("An address with the name already exists for this client. Please enter a new name."); cancel submit; } But it is not working. Sometime the validation works and throws the alert and sometimes the user can enter the data successfully. I thought it was a really easy validation. Am I doing something wrong or there is something wrong

I have a "Public" app which allows people to register themselves for events on a calendar. For privacy reasons, I can't allow other people to edit or view those previously registered people. How might I achieve this?

I have one form that has personnel with hourly rate. I have another form tallying the number of hours worked in a task. I'd like to generate a view (from second form) which multiplies the number of hours x hourly rate to get cost for the task. Then this form could sum the cost for the total cost at the bottom. Any ideas of what the best way is to do this ? Any help would be appreciated.
Field not updating
For a disabled lookup field ("Problem Field") I set the value through Deluge script in the 'On User Input' event of another field (on the same form). So depending on the value selected in this field, the value in the Problem Field changes. This works fine for existing records. On new records the value remains "-Select-" until I save and reopen it. My app bmpm is shared with support (edit access). To reproduce: - go to tab 'Admin' - open view 'xxxx' - click 'Add' - In field 'Player' select the entry

Pulling data from another table (UPS tracking numbers)
We have two tables: Open Orders (has a Sales Order # entered at order start) Tracking Data (imported from UPS with the Sales Order # as a column once the order has shipped) Trying to create a view that will list all the line items in Open Orders and pull the tracking number from the Tracking Data table when the Sales Order # matches. Can't create view with restricted records where date field equals null
I am trying to create a list view that only shows records where the date field is null. But whenever I check "Restricted records" and set Datefield equals null and click DONE, the criteria is not saved. How can I do this?
Sorting of foreign names of forms and views
Hi colleges, I've notices that a list of forms and views is not correct sorted. It's can be because of the russian names of it. Is it possible to solve this problem. It's quit complicete to find a form (I have two pages of them). Do you plane to translate your application on russian? How do I automatically fill the Link URL for an image field?
Hi I have an image field in a form, and I want the URL link (not the source) to be automatically updated by the input into a separate URL field on the same form. How can I do this with Deluge? I can't see a way of referencing the link box as a variable except for enabling or disabling the checkbox requiring the link. Many thanks for any help. Martin

Hi, I'm dynamically filling a drop down list with data from records. But this dropdown list also has the "On User Input" action assigned to it. It seems like each time an item is programatically added to create the drop down list, the "On User Input" action is triggered. Is there a better way to dynamically fill in a drop down list? Using custom functions on Calendar Views
Dear all, I am trying to do the following: after you select on item from the calendar view, the pop up (built in the zoho) shows information retrieved by a custom function. Is that possible? Could work similar to this ( here) where the user needs to click on the button to call the function but should work on a calendar view.

My Zoho Creator Contact Form Won't Show in WordPress
The contact form in my Wordpress website quit working so I tried making a new one with Zoho Creator using this guy's tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPB-kmXoZuo The process went exactly as described, the database was populated and emails received. But when I inserted the HTML code it doesn't appear. However gray link boxes appear next to it with Text, HTML, MS Word, PDF, XML and Print. When those buttons are clicked, a form appears. But I want the form to be embedded in the website.
All applications missing
On signing in this morning to Creator all my applications have disappeared! (About 40+ in total) I am missing My Workplace Apps and Shared Apps options in the user gui: This is the same for another colleague of mine in the same domain. Creator is added to our Google Apps domain but I get this result logging in directly with my Zoho ID as well. Obviously this is pretty urgent! Help appreciated. Kind regards, Mark

My customers require information from jobsites to be collected on their own paper forms then scanned in and e-mailed individually and/or posted on the jobsite. All of our customers want the same information collected but all of their paper forms look different. I want to use creator to enable employees to collect data from the field and then generate a page (report, web page, write document...) that can be printed and submitted to the customer. Adding List Elements
I'm attempting to use a stateless form to add new elements to a list in my database. It seems the list in my database cannot accept new elements. Is this a known limitation? PS: In doing this, no errors are reported and the list is not updated. John M. Whitney

Month Issues with Search Queries
When I search a date and time field using one of the many Month options, I get different errors. When searching "This Month", the last day of the month doesn't show. When searching "Last Month" the last day of that month doesn't show either. When searching "Current and Previous Month" the search doesn't work at all and the selection defaults back to "Is". When searching "Current and Next Month" it does include the last day of the current month, but again excludes the last day of the next month. This

Calling up the entry form from a URL
I have embedded by form view in my website and it works great, but I want to be able to call up the smaller window that you use to enter/edit a record. Specifically, on the form view there is a link for "Add" at the top, and a link for "edit" on each row, and these open a smaller window in front. Is there any way I can call these smaller windows up directly from my web page or from a URL? I would like to be able to embed a link in an email to directly open the "Add record" dialog. TIA Ross

Not Gettting Zoho Creator API Error Codes
When I use a wrong ticket number on purpose or try to generate another type of error, I don't get an error code in my response from Zoho. Automatically assign numbers
1. I know to assign the numbers but how to get numbers to change automatically with next new record. I keep getting the same number in field. 2. My [Next] button does not go to next form. It goes to a default page and I have to log in again. I am unfamiliar with writing deluge script. 3. Calendar showing data from 2 tables
I am trying to build a Calendar view that shows data from 2 tables at the same time. I have to related views Users and Projects. I was trying to build a calendar that shows information from view Users, but once you click in one particular entry, it will show all the data from the user and also will show all the projects he is working with. Problem submitting edited forms linked to by URL
My users have reported and I have confirmed, that when a record in a certain form is accessed by a URL for editing, and the Submit button is pressed, the "Please Wait" message appears and seems to hang. The record is never updated with the edits. Sometimes the URL just leads to a blank white screen, i.e. the editing form does not appear. Other times the editing form appears, but cannot successfully submit. And then, a few times, it will all work as intended -- i.e. edits are made and submitting
