Database Form Creation

Trying to create a relational database.
I can't figure out how to create the following database (it is a basic address book): The Person form has the following fields: ID, First Name, Middle Initial, Last Name, I have created an "Address" form. The Address form allows me to associate multiple addresses for a single person. I added a field to this Address form, called "Belongs To" of type "Import Data From [Person Form] - ID" as a Single Select list. The problem is that, in the Address form, the "Belongs To" dropdown only displays the ID
Importing Inventory Data
I am importing inventory data and it seems to have a limit to the number of items per page and then just mashs all the extras together at the end. jimwarden
Creator: public applications: access/display
1. How about a link to "public applications" on one's Creator welcome page? It is too hard to find this list! 2. On the list, how about showing the number of data entries? This would help distinguish actively used applications from tests/tryouts. 3. Please tell me how to do the following: I have one field where a division will be selected by user. Depending on which division they select, I want the next field that holds program choices to filter based on what is available to that division. example: If user selects Division "MMH" I want the next field "program choices" to be a pick list of only their designated programs. I want them to only see products based on who they are.

Add "show|hide|clear" to On Update
I'm working on a form that requires a hidden listbox to be shown if a checkbox is ticked. This has been achieved using the On Change function, but I've found it doesn't reveal the hidden listbox until the user has clicked on another control (which is the next item on the list, and as the hidden textbox appears in between the two the user may not notice they've missed out a control, and it's pretty un-intuitive). So I'd like to request the On Update function to be able to handle the 'show|hide|clear'

cannot see the script
In my application, when i try to see the script of one of my forms, it gives me the message " error generating the page, null" i am able to see the edit gui page, but not the script page. please help. pratikj
inviting users
trying to invite users to only use the form which I created in a tab. I created users, selected apps they can use and sent the invites but one of two things happen or don't happen in the process 1) noone gets the invite email 2) no shared app appears once they log in I have read the FAQs and followed closely; what gives???? jlyles
Embedded Forms and Reports
First, when I tried to register for the Forums I got a message that I already had too many registration attempts. Not sure what that was all about. Next, when I embed my form, either with the java or iframe, when I access the form through the website the list menus for List View and More Actions disappear taking away the ability to export the list as a report in PDF. Unable to register for the forums
Hello, I'm unable to register for an account on the forums. It gives me a choice to agree or disagree with terms - I click agree - then it tells me I've made too many attempts to register this session.. yet, this is the first time today I tried to register. I previously tried twice yesterday. h
Cannot Delete Records --- Error Message
Message says, "Error occured when deleting selected records". All I am doing is selecting all of the records that I have input as 'tests' during the creation of my form so that I can delete them and start fresh. What is the problem? Also, when I try to have a picklist auto populate with data from another form within the same application, it provides an error as well. Embed iFrame - it doesn't size right
Hello! I have embedded my form in read-only fashion (Summary) on my web page. I don't want to use scroll bars; if there are 10 items in the database, I want the iFrame, and the page, to adjust in length appropriately. I currently have 4 records in my DB, and when embedded, it truncates in the middle of the 2nd record. If I set scroll to YES, then I get a scroll bar, but I don't want that. Is there a way to change that? I have width and height set to 100% in the iFrame attributes, but that doesn't
New to ZOHO Creator
I want to create a database for my returns department. We have over 2,000 products. I need to create a form and within the form I want to have a sku field. I have all of the sku's on an excel spreadsheet, but wondering what is going to be the best way to import all of my products, and as someone is filling out the field they are not going to have to type out the very long sku's. Private LAN Zoho applications
Hi, Creator, wikim and others are great applications. I was wondering if there are any plans to allow an enterprise to deploy a self-hosted zoho server suite...Basically, if a company wanted to use these tools, and could secure them behind a firewall for 100% use on their corporate network, with no need to access your servers, the products could form the pieces of an excellent internal portal system. I tried to reply to your earlier forum post, but the system isn't letting me reply. Weird. Anyway, when you embed your form, you'll get a zoho code like this: src="http://creator.zoho.com/showViewLinkAlone.do?viewlinkId=0&link=true&sharedBy=someguy&hdrClr=FFCC33&bdrClr=6B2525" Look at the items I made bold. Those are hexadecimal color codes. You can change them to whatever you like. If you don't know what code to use, google "hex color code chart" and you'll get lots of options!
How to change form and view colors?
I see that there are a few options to change the colors of the forms and views, but these do not match my website colors. Are there other options for changing the colors? I need a more professional gray theme. The gray theme given is too blue.
Keep others from embedding my database
I have one database that is public, as I have it embedded in my webpage and want visitors to be able to view it. I see that if I log out, then visit my Zoho public page, anyone can embed my form in their webpage. I don't want that. Is there any way to disable that?

Hi! I sent a note already, but I thought I should add more detail! My database with you, CALL Facility Bookmarks seems to be imploding! I tried to add a new category, 'ARABIC' and when I did, I lost all my OTHER language categories! Then, I accidentally took out my KEYWORDS! Bulk Edit disappears in Filter view

Forum Log-in and Table set up advice needed
Hi, I'm loving your product, I'm using creator to build little databases, it's great for a novice like me. I'm having two problems today though.... 1. I tried to sign in to the forums, using my username and password that i use to sign in to creator. it was rejected, do i have to register seperately for the forums? 2. I was trying to access the forum for help with my database...I have two tables, one with 4 columns, the other with 8 columns. each table has it's own First Name, Last Name, and Email
Add entry UI problem in FireFox
There's a problem with the "view" mode GUI in FireFox. If you click on Add, you'll be given a window that looks like two of the same window stacked on top of each other vertically. However the first one is empty, pushing the 2nd window way down in the bottom of the screen making the Update and Cancel button inaccessible. This problem doesn't exist in IE.
How to require a minimum value
Is there a way to require a minimum value be entered into a field and if a value that a user enters is too low, it will give them a warning and prompt them to re-enter their value? sjohnson@bookette.com
Deleting Reference Data
I have field named 'City' in the table 'City'. In the table 'Address', I have a field called 'City' which is referenced and made mandatory to the field 'City' in table 'City'. In the City table, I have a record 'Tirupur'. I have created address with reference city as 'Tirupur'. Now, I am able to delete the reference city 'Tirupur' in the City table. In the 'Adress' table, the field 'City' is empty. It goes against the rule that is setup, i.e. 'City' field is mandatory. Where there is a reference

filter by most recent date a record was updated?
I have an application where I am tracking inventory transactions for a reel of cable (Reel #) - where each time there is a transaction entered (recording Inv Trans Date) the remaining footage on the reel is decreased. When I filter by reel #, I see all the inventory transactions for that reel #. What I would like to do is set up a filter that would only show the most recent inventory transaction date and hence the most recent (smallest) remaining footage. Any ideas how to script that? Customized colors
Hello! Today I embedded my read-only database form in my website. I customized the border and header colors to match my site. The first page of the form has my custom colors. However, if someone does a filter, then the filtered results are in the old Zoho colors. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks! Jesse

cross tab information filtering
i have a form/tab called "student info" where there are 2 fields : student name, and status . Status is a dropdown pick list : registered, not converted, dropout. Create Row in another Form after Insert
Is it possible to create an entry in a form when an entry in another form has been created? For example, Form A entries are required in all cases and Form B is a type of Form A entity but with additional information. Is it possible to Add a row to Form A after creating a row in Form B? The data for Form A would be derived from the data entered in Form B.
