hello, I know that it is possible trough deluge script to show a view with for example companies and when you click on a button you see all the employees of this company and if you creat a new employee he is automatically assigned to the company above. But I do not find how to do that. Are you going to work on forms including subforms (like access) ? Thanks for your help.

PDF as background
We use graphically intense PDF forms where users hand-write info into fields. In MS Access you can use the PDF image as the background and float the data fields (controls) over the background. Is there any way this can be done in Zoho?

Hello all, I am trying to create an email report that will look at the description field of my data capture form, and email me an alert if the data for that particular field has not been updated in "X" days. Example: Search the description field for "MP_Controller_HIGH_TEMP" if description matches search then check modified date, if date is 10 days old, then email all serial numbers that have not been updated in 10 days. Problems with creating HTML views
I'm pretty new to Zoho and to database design and management, so bear with me. I'm tring to create an HTML view for a form that I've created to embed it into a website. The problem I'm having is that I have 2 forms saved in a project, and I can only create an HTML view for one of them. The program seems to default to that form, and I can't create a HTML view for the other form. Do I have to open up a seperate project for each HTML view I want to create, or is there a way to select which form

Populate field value based on another field input
I have two fields - a dropdown field "dropdown1" with two values: "valueX" and "valueY" - a numeric field "numeric2" which should be populated with value "1" if "valueX" is selected in "dropdown1" or should be populated with value "2" if "valueY" is chosen in "dropdown1" field. Reports and Multiselect fields
Are there any workarounds to the limitation that multi-select fields can't be used in reports? I am considering building a new table that would be similar to the table I want to report on. This new table would have one record for each of the values selected in the multi-select field. The table would be changed in the on Success of the original form. How to Enter/Edit only Hour & Minute (e.g 08:30 or 17:45) portion of a DateTime field in Zoho Creator Form?
1. In my TimeSheet application I have two time fields say From Time and To Time AND I want enter/edit ONLY the Hour & Minute portion of a Date/Time filed as 08:30 or 1730 OR 12.15. Whatever way I entered the time should be formatted/visible as 08:30 hidding the date and second portion. 2. My objective is to calculate the time ( Hours & Mininutes) between these two datetime fields. 3. FYI, I have been able to create a CALCULATED Field showing the time as 08:30 by using the SubString function BUT

I was wondering if there is a list of the sample applications to show how certain user created Functions work? If not I think it would be a really good idea to have a list of Functions with a link to the sample app which uses the function. Maybe a Sticky Post? Just an idea!!! Damien.
Getting Negative Numbers
I created a form called business plan and basically each field has a calculation in it. For example i have fields quarter 1, 2, 3 and 4. And it breaks down how much money a person has brought it for each quarter. but if i enter in data say for quarter 1 and 2, quarter 3 and 4 will have a negative 3 instead of 0. How to make more text show up in the title of a calender entry?
It seems as though there is a 15 character limit on the length of the title that appears in a calender event. So another words if i add a new calender event through creator it will only show the first 15 characters of the title of the event. This is a mojor problem for me. Using multiple forms during user registration.
I am trying to create a solution for registering children for swimming lessons. I would like to be able to split the registration over multiple pages since it is long. I have created separate forms where i collect the parent information, then the child information, then the class registration. Is there a way to pass say a customer id from one form to another? In form view I am showing 12 columns. I have more columns. In edit mode I went to COLUMN PROPERTIES, edit NO OF COLUMNS DISPLAYED but the changes to not show. I looked in List, Summary and Grid views but no difference.

Here's a puzzler: Let's say a list has a maximum number of 10 elements. If a form is loaded, and a user defines two elements (at index 0 and 1) out of the maximum 10, how can we script to add arbitrary values for the remaining 8 elements? What I was looking for was something like mylistsize=input.MY_LIST.size() ; for index = (9 - mylistsize) to 9 { MY_LIST.add("XXX"); } To add 8 more arbitrary elements to the list to bring it to 10 elements. I am designing an application using "Role Based Access Control" and due to the limitation of the VIEWS of not supporting deluge script in the view i have moved to the HTML VIEW. Hi! Let say, I have two forms: 1. Items (ID, Name) 2. PriceList (ID, ItemID, Price) In this variant if I make in PriceList a dropdown box with ItemID it will be very unconviniend, while very complicate to define item mane by item id. But this dropdown will be unique. Another variant is to put instead of ItemID an ItemName. It will be visible, but not correct for table connections (it must be made through ID) So, how to show in form PriceList dropdown with Item Names, but after choise save in PriceList

I would like to use creator to manage employee records. the last employee we hired was number 77, so I would like the next to be 78 and so on, with out having to look up the last used number every time. Please provide the script if you can.
Rich text fields are useless in stateless forms
ZC Team, I tried to access a rich text field in a stateless form with Deluge, but regardless of the field content, it appears as empty in scripts, so there is not possible to use it in records inserts and in fields updating... Thus, in stateless forms Rich Text Fields are now useless. A fast fix of this problem would be appreciated. Regards, George
Calculate a field from two different tables
Hi, I have 2 forms (tables). The first one is with product and prices for it. In the second you can select a product from dropdown list (connection from the first form) and set amount of product. So, is it possible to calculate automatically in one field in the second form a price for selected quantity? If I change then price in the first form, the price for selected quantity in the second form will be also changed. When creating a Lookup field with a Multiple Selected List display type, is there a way to set the advanced display options to have each new selection begin on a new line (i.e., line break?) The form seems to take a standard html <BR>, but generates an error message ("the value of attribute 'separator' associated with an element type 'field' must not contain the '<' character" when I try to close it.

updating records using import
Is there a way to update records using the import method? My application includes stats on professional athletes and i want to update different stat columns daily without adding duplicate entries. I edited the "Name" column so that it was set to "no duplicate entries" but when i do the new import i get new records with blank columns instead of updated records. What's my solution for updating records using the import method? Thanks
Submit the form by pressing Enter
Hi,Previously I could submit the form by pressing the Enter button when I was in a text field. Now the only way to submit the form is to scroll all the way to the bottom and press the button - it was faster when I could press Enter. I don't know why that doesn't submit it anymore.
