Difference between "campaign source" and "lead source"
Question: What is the difference between "campaign source" and "lead source" fields? I would like to make sure we are using things in the most efficient way, - Brian
SSL Error - can't get to Knowledge Base?!?
Am a new user and trying to figure out the basics. I need to convert my account to a company account, add a second user and change my title. When I search for help on these topics, some of the links go to the Zoho knowledge base, but both Chrome and Firefox deliver SSL errors (see below) warning not to access these pages. Phone Numbers dont show in potentials?
Hi, is there any way to map the Phone and mobile fields from leads & contacts to the potentials Fields "Phone & Mobile"? I have checked in the Leads setup - Map Fields but although there is an option to map the fields the drop down box doesn't contain the field i am after, Please help. Thanks Mark
Delayed workflow field update
I'm wondering if anyone using workflow field updates, would find value by having the field update delayed by x number of days? So for example, I would like to have the lead status field updated from "trial activated" to "trial deactivated", however, not to action this for 7 days, from point of record creation. The workflow tasks allow you to create by trigger date + x amount of days. Alternatively, if you could delay a workflow rule + x days, before actioning rule, then I guess this would work
Template editing question
I am attempting to utilize the default "Sales Order" template to create a packing list template. Is there a way to edit the "Product Details" section in this template? Currently it displays: Product Name - Product Code - Qty - List Price - Total I would like to display: Product Name - Product Code - Qty Ordered - Qty Backordered - Qty Shipped Is it possible to edit this area? Or is there a better solution? Any help is very much appreciated.
How to segment contacts?
I'm new to zoho. I'm loading all my contacts and trying to figure out how to segment them for marketing contact purposes. for example, of all the contacts, I'd like 20% to be a referral group and send them emails monthly. My process doesn't fit well with how zoho segments. suggestions?
Skype..
Acouple weeks ago I reported that Skype was not placing my Country Code in front of phone numbers when clicking on the number from within the CRM. I am in the US and it SHOULD be placing a "+1" in front of US numbers but it is not. As a result when I call a number in the 630 Area Code Skype thinks I am dialing the Philippines. I was told last week it would be corrected during an update this week but the problem persists. Any word on when this Glitch will be fixed? Pete DePalma

When I attempt to click on a phone number using Skype, it isn't putting the +1 in front of the number so all calls are being attempted by skype as international call. In other words a call to the 636 area code in the US is causing Skype to think I am calling the Philippines. When I mouse over the number and look at the bottom left hand side of my browser I can see the +1 is NOT included in the tag. Pete DePalma

Tasks view linked to Jobs - what do you do?
When you create a task - manually or via automated workflow - that is linked to an opportunity/job, the views do not show the underlying account. Therefore, management has a difficult time truly understanding what is being worked on. The reason for this deficiency is because the RELATED TO field is linked to the job, not the account. Currently, the only options are: create tasks linked to accounts - which seems to defeat the purpose of CRM concepts. OR, manually update each task - this asks a lot

Hopefully I am missing this option: Is there a way to move "closed" jobs in account view out of the Jobs section? It should be similar to how open tasks get moved to closed tasks section.

I logged a call on a invoice and it does not show on the master account activities. All history should be tied back to the master account otherwise I would have to look all over the system to see Account notes. Please advise.

Hi. Just thought it would be nice to be able to generate pdf invoices & quotes that are sent to clients which would have a print button making it simple and obvious to print. Is it possible? Tried to use javascript for this but it won't work at all in PDF as i suspected but not even in previews.
Can't access Zoho CRM today
I have been unable to access Zoho today and constantly get the message 'The server at crm.zoho.com is taking too long to respond.' Our workforce is widely spread and we rely heavily on Zoho CRM throughout our working day. Please can you advise when we will be able to regain access? Thanks, Cathy

CRM w/Google Apps/Google Mail
Hello, I set up Zoho CRM for Google Apps and configured for Google Mail. Emails sent/received with my Google Mail account to/from a contact in associated with and "Account" have synchronized fine. When work with "Leads", it has been hit or miss. Some emails to/from "Lead" contacts are synchronizing and some aren't. Any ideas? Thanks, - John
when does first autoresponder email get sent?
I set up an autoresponder that is using a custom view in "leads" that contains two names. I set it up to send the inital email, and then subsequent different emails at 2 days. The autoreponders is dynamic. The start date is today and the time is 8:00 AM. If I then modify the lead (at 7:55 A.M;) so it appears in Custom View used by the autorepsonders, would the email be sent at 8:00 AM that day? Potentials view all scrambled
Please see attached screen grab from nowhere my potentials are all scrambled. I want to change the stage of the potential but if I select the drop down box stage in the image is doesn't show my preconfigured stages and gives me an error. Our company continues to be plagued with problems related to navigating records. Hello, I Have an Enterprise edition of zoho. We know that a Lead can be converted to an account, contact or a Potential. My question is can a lead be converted to an Sales order or a quote . If a lead cannot be converted to a salesorder wat else can be converted to salesorder. Hi there, I tried to export all our tickets to excel for backup in a csv-file, but it doesn't seem to work. Attachment zoho1 is what you get, just by opening it. Attachment zoho2 is what you get when I tell excel that it is a csv, seperated by comma and all that... I've selected A1 and I also tried it with colom A, it's almost good, but not yet. How can i make the form fields in a web to CRM form mandatory? I've tried a code suggested in the knowledge base but it doesn't work at all. Is it possible to do? It would be a great idea to make it an option to select which fields are mandatory when generating the code with the code generator in web to leads or web to contact forms.

Products and Price Books set up in Admin - how can other profile types see them?
OK, I have scoured the CRM help pages and forums and cannot figure this out... I created Prodct and price books in admin and they both show up when I create a quote. However, my sales rep has a "standard" login profile, and she cannot see the products or price books I have set up. Is there something I can do to make them visible to her? Please help! CRM + Mail Add-on: notification when new email received
Hi I am using CRM with Mail add-on. I have configured Mail add-on to access my Google Apps email accounts. I use CRM to send emails to customers using Mail add-on. My question is, how can I get notified that I have received a email response for an email I have sent, without going to the Email tab and without having to go through each of the Potentials (or Contacts or Leads or Accounts) checking the Email section? I was hoping that a task could get created automatically when an email was received
Zoho Mail Add to CRM - need to create a lead not a contact
I have the Zoho Mail Add On. When I select an email and choose add to CRM, it creates a contact. Why can't I create a lead. I have lots of incoming email from people that are new leads? Can I have add to CRM create a lead instead of a contact? If not, can I convert a contact to a lead?
