Adding a description to Attachments
Is there a way to add a name to an Attachment in CRM other than the file name - also can we remove some of the other fields associated with the attachment like size

I'd like to know the http referrer. I.E. which pages on my website are generating the leads. I believe I could get this with hidden fields, but I'm not sure if it works or which syntax should I use in the templates. Thanks in advance Gustavo
Report Criteria: {NOTEMPTY} is <NOTFUNCTIONING>
We have a custom field on the accounts page that is a drop down list of our predefined Market areas. It is NOT a mandatory field. So there are some that are unselected, etc. However, when i try to run a report against the accounts table, and I use criteria Market ${NOTEMPTY} to filter out unassigned ones, they show up in the report anyways. Thoughts?
Lead to Potential Only without Contact
Hi, We are an etailer and would like to associate Contacts only to paid customers until then we want to convert the qualified leads to Potentials. Once the Potential purchases a product then we will convert to Contacts. Currently on converting a Lead there is an option to ignore Potential but no option to ignore a Contact. Other login levels cannot see price books
HI All, I am fairly new to zoho and am having a difficult time getting some basic functionality setup (I wish the supporting documentation at zoho.com was more detailed!) My specific problem at the moment is that I set up pricebooks in admin, but my other login for my sales person Nancy (Standard login) cannot see them when she is creating a Quote! How can I make a view that groups all leads from one particular company or institute in the view? In reports this can be done, but I need this when working with the leads. Thx for any suggestion.
Can I add more than 1 customer to a potential
Is there anyway I could add more than 1 customer to a potential? It is common practice to have more than one customer receiving quotes etc based on one potential sale. I am sure there must be a way of doing this but cant figure it out...please help. Thanks Jim

Need an "Invite to Zoho" button that can be used for partners
in a partner's account, the "invite to zoho" button should automatically sign that invited user up under the partner's account. need a tool like that in contacts, email, and also in crm. maybe it could be done with a "button" that could be put into emails too. i think this would be a really useful feature that would help us all to more rapidly add users, and wouldn't take a lot in terms of programming. please consider quickly setting it up. thank you very much. Activities - Open Tasks - Edited Screen Report
I edited the "View" "Open Tasks" and added column "Contact Name" Problem: When creating a tasks in "Leads" you select the names from the "lookup", but the names will not appear in the column "Contact Name" It works fine with tasks created for "Contact" We have to manually write the name in th "Subject" field besides the word "Call"
Can you create an invoicefom a potential?
When i view a potential i cannot create an invoice from it. I have to create a sales order and then turn that into an invoice. Is there any way I can bypass the sales order and just create an invoice straight from a won deal?

non-http link field type
The link field type automatically add "http://" to the front of links that are missing it. I know this is by design and works for most cases, but at my firm a "raw" link field would be very helpful for pointing to secure networked storage. (e.g., Z:\Projects\Sample)
Can I associate my email templates with a campaign to prevent screw-ups?
I am running 2 nearly identical campaigns at the same time, and I'm using email templates that are nearly identical for each campaign. (One campaign is focused on bigger businesses while the other is focused on smaller businesses.) Pricing is different for each campaign, so it's critical that I don't accidentally send out the wrong email template to a lead. Right now, I can see all my template choices whenever I send out an email, so I could easily click the wrong one. Is there any way to associate
Dynamic date ranges for autoresponders!
By design, the Zoho autoresponders require an actual series of dates. This effectively makes the tool useless to me. You need to change the date requirement so that it can allow for dynamic ranges. The dates should not be firm, but instead based on a date of today plus N days. For example: Email 1 = Today (so the date the autoresponder is applied to the record, email 1 is sent) Email 2 = +14 days (so the autoresponder waits 14 days from the first email being sent, then sends email 2) Email 3
Product Module - Who purchased a particular product
Through the Product Module, can I see a list of 'Accounts' of clients who purchased that product? I have tried to customise this but haven't found a way. On Account module I can see what a client purchased but not the other way round! How can i enable this feature?

Task sort order by date does not remain
I have a component on my customizable home page and would like to see the sort order by due date but every time I go to my home page the sort order by date does not remain as due date and I have to click it every time to get the due date sort order. Yet in my activities for tasks the due date remains as the sort order so this is working fine, so it appears that this is an issue when adding a component to my customized home page, thanks.
creating products
Is it not possible to create a product that is available to all users? Needing to create the same product for each user is quite time-consuming if that is the current set-up. Rob Corey

How do i make the invoice & quotes views share the same information fields as contacts?
Hi. I want to have quotes & invoices that replicate the same fields from contacts so that when i am creating an invoice in CRM the information from the contact is automatically transfered over. At the moment all i get transferring over is the name of the contact. I have customised the contact fields and mapped them with other tabs but i cannot map them with th einvoice or quote layout. Google apps for domains sign-on
Hi there, I deployed Zoho CRM for one domain (company1.com.ar) and registered the three free users. We never used the application because we later switched to anohter Google Apps domain (companyB.com) When I tried to register me for Zoho CRM under my new profile, Zoho says my username is already taken (John.Locke@companyB.com). multiple custom quote or invoice templates
Is it possible to have more than one quote or invoice template that can be opened to use as required. My impression is that its not the case and that only default templates will be opened if i choose to create a quote for example from a customer contact page in th eoptions list at the bottom. Importing Contacts/Accounts

"Product Details" tag is not coming in the response for transaction records
Hi, I canot see the Product Details tag in the response coming from zoho when trying to get records from transaction records like sales order where there are some products found. I had written the code some days back according to the response coming at that time, not that code fired error. I am not sure why this type of response coming from zoho. Cannot SEND MAIL from Contact record.
"Button" shows it was selected, but no response. This was working up until an hour or so ago, then stopped. Other functions, NOTES, ATTACHMENTS, etc all work fine. I am using SEND MAIL with templates, but now cannot get to open template. The Support line has been uncharacteristically busy this afternoon. I am surprised the problem has not already been posted.

Is it possible to track customer contact history?
I can't see where we can track contact history and sales history for accounts. There seems to be nothing in the account section, nor the contacts section. I know it's possible to place an text area in each section to manually enter comments, but that's not the same as tracking activity with the prospect or actual sales by account. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong. These are basic CRM functions and are needed. Thanks.
Zoho mail add on
I Tried out the mail add on for a couple months now, some thoughts. Yes, it will show you emails that you have sent to or received from a Contact in the contact page, but not in the account page. For those of you that want to use the template feature(I was most interested in this). It will add in contact name, company, etc with smart tags. Seriously, what kind of error is this? Is this a catchall error message that you output when you don't know what's wrong? I get this message all the time (especially when modifying reports/dashboards/etc) even though I am the administrator and have full super-administrative rights Is this a known problem?
can't unlink from CRM and make new CRM
In CRM, my login is tied to a business group. I no longer want to be associated to that business group, and want to have my own CRM account. There doesn't seem to be any way to correct this - The admin for the business group cannot 'delete' me from the list of users. The only option is to 'disable' me, which then prevents me from logging in to CRM at all. How can I completely disassociate from the existing business group and create my own CRM?
Relation (Lookup column)
Hi, right now i'm stuck while trying to import my databases with existing relations. I have a .XLS called Company and one called Contacts (relating to Accounts and Contacts). In the Company file i have a line called CompanyID. In Contacts i have a line with CompanyID and one with ContactID. How exactly can i import this relation between accounts and contacts so that i can see which contacts refer to company and the other way around? Do i need the lookup columns? Thank you, Lukas
