Registering and linking to an account

Forgot Password Dialog Problem
Hello, We have a user account setup on Zoho CRM, but the user has forgotten their password. When they try to use the Forgot Password dialog, their email address is not recognized. I have double and triple checked their Zoho CRM ID and it is correct. Any ideas why the system is not recognizing it? Thanks, Brihas

Modifying Lead Layouts
Hello all, I can create custom fields in the Setup -> Lead section, and I can seemingly lay them out into a custom configuration as well. However, after saving (etc.) viewing of a Lead page shows more or less default layout, and no new spatial layout whatsoever. See pics below. That said, it does seem as if *some* changes do propagate through: for example I can make the "Lead Status" field mandatory, and when creating a lead Zoho *will* make sure I fell that field in (but there is *no* red asterisk
Loggin in with Secure Access Checked
If I login to Zoho Business with the Secure Access box checked, Zoho CRM comes up as a generic marketing splash page within Business itself... I see this with both IE and Firefox. :( Any help appreciated.

Custom Views permissions

Email Templates 2 hours work GONE!
WTF, I have been using email templates extensively. I just spent over 2 hours revising an email template.... adding hyperlinks mainly. I have saved multiple times over the past several hours .... call me overly cautious. I just saved and the template took ALL of my mod's and sent them into the ether.... Lot's of work...how can this happen after multiple saves? Frustrated paying customer! I do believe in miracles. Any input will be appreciated. -mike

Existing accounts on leads screen
We may receive leads for accounts that already exist in our system. On the leads screen, the account field does not look up the account name or provide any ajax type looking to find a matching account. When a lead is converted to a potential, will the system try to attach the potential to an existing account, or will it always create a new account? Thanks in advance!
Issues sorting Views in Potentials tab
Todfay our organization is experiencing trouble try to sort the records in certain user-created views. When we click on the column header we get pop-up with the message "Session timed". Zoho then reverts back to the user's home screen. We have gone in and verified that the views do not have any "bugs". They were working yesterday. Please advise what is happening.
Importing cases and linking to 'related to' contacts
I've been testing the import of case data, generally trouble-free but I cannot get the 'related to' contact link uploaded, either using the contact 'WHOID' or the name. It seemed to work on a few earlier tests but now I cannot feed this field in, it just shows as blank in the resulting record, despite checking and verifing the data is correct and does indeed have a corresponding contact record. Any help gratefully received!

How do I go about adding two emails and two contact information under one company. For example if company XYZ has scott 1 and jeff 1 with different titles and emails but same phone number, can this be added under the company with a drop down list instead of the contacts being imported twice.
Missing Notes
I was under a master account which was closed 2 months ago. I had created a note in there for a person and now it's missing. Is there anyway to retrieve it? It's URGENT!!!!

New Lead and New Contact screen have Title and FirstName field swapped
Yesterday evening I noticed that the Title field, which contains a 5 character long drop down field, had been labeled FirstName. The FirstName field is now labeled Title. I have a personal account and a work account and problem exists on both accounts. Also see the problem on 2 different computers. Please correct this problem. Thanks.

I've come into my account preferences now in an attempt to add another email address (not the one that is in my google account, but the one my partner used to register me) My Email IDs -> Add New I add my email address and enter my current password... I get the error: Invalid Current Password I then selected "forgot password and had it emailed to my account/ I hit "reset password" and changed my password I went back into My Email IDs -> Add New I add my email address and enter my current password...

Lookup function doesn't work
If I try to "lookup" an account, contact or product; in eg. account or invoice ZOHO opens the pop-up window to choose from, but the actual choice in that window will not be "filled" in. Actually nothing happens. See attachments. This way I can't make invoices, create correct new accounts etc. I use an I-Mac and tried it on a MAc-book but the same problem. I tried it on my Windows laptop but its even worse; Explorer crashes and has to be closed. Any ideas? bram
Potentials View corrupted
I created a new view in Potentials but when it tries to display the page comes back blank and the browser (IE) shows an error message on the satus line. I think the selection criteria i put in must have been bad, but the result is that I now get no display and I can't even use the selection box to choose another Potential 'View'. Because Zoho always shows the last selected View when you go to the Potentials Tab I am now stuck and can't view any potentials. Is there a way to delete a view without
lookup function doesn't work
My lookup function doesn't function. Although I can open the lookup pop up windows for products (in invoice eg) or accounts and contacts, after selection in the popup windows it will not fill in the chosen contact,product or account the destination field. So, I can't do my work, no invoices, no new clients, nothing! Anyone any idea?? I work on an Aplle I-Mac, same problem on my Macbook. On my windows computer its even worse; Explorer crashes!
potentials print view header bug
When I go to the print view from a browser view of Potentials (renamed here Projects), the header for Account Name (renamed here Organization Name) instead shows Project Name twice. I have attached a screen shot.
Mass email: BUG in daily sending limit
Hello, I am using the Zoho mass email functionality to send a news update to my customer list. As I have more than 250 leads, I have to split this mailing up over a few days. Quotes: auto calculation doesn't work
In quotes (and sales orders, invoices), the prices doesn't get calculated automatically and shows ZERO for all total prices. Even setting Price Books won't fix the problem. I tried it on Safari, Firefox, and IE and none of the. The Ajax code seems to be working, though. Thanks, Ali
What is the contact tab for.....
This may seem a stupid question, but interested in how others use CRM's, particularly if they are not large corporates, which many CRM's are grown out of. I have used CRM's before and always find the linking of contacts to Accounts a pain. Is there a particular reason especially if you only have a few, at most, contacts per account, it necessary to use this area? Surely adding a Contact field (or several) to the account is adequate. It also confuses those new to CRM. ALSO How do you mport contacts

Help With Lead Conversion Needed
Our orgnaization wants to keep unqualified opportuntites (LEADS) separate from qualified opportunties (POTENTIALS). However, we ofen get inquiries from existing customers that are not qualified yet. We treat these as LEADS. A Big problem comes up when we go to convert qualifed LEADS to POTENTIALS. WE end up with a host of problems, including duplicate account and contact records and issues with my meticulaously mapped fields not transferring the data properly. related lists aren't deleted when lookup field is deleted
Assume the entity is Projects. If I create a lookup field for Projects called 'Secondary client' of class 'Contact' with lookup list name 'Projects,' a joined list is created in the Contact view called 'Projects.' However ,if you delete the Secondary client lookup field, the Projects view is NOT deleted in the Contact details view. You must go to settings -> edit vew details and manually un-add those views. There is no way to delete these views.

Not a question thread. Being in the publishing/magazine industry I can appreciate that people tend to get in touch with a gripe rather than a positive - and so they should - but in a fit of goodwill... I'm having a number of difficulties with Zoho, but my biggest problem is when i'm converting a Lead > Potential or > Account not all of the information is transfering along with it.. How can I get the same infromation to transfer as a client moves though the process? For example, when I create a new Lead and then convert them to a Potential, the address or e-mail etc. is no longer included.. How do I keep all the information? There has to be a way, surely I wouldn't have to re-enter each clients
