Adding contacts to a task
Hi I am pretty new to this so bare with me. I want to add a task to a potential. Straight forward, just a call. I have one person added to the potential as a contact role. He happens to be the same person as the contact name on the potential and the only one associated with the account. When I set up the task and select the Contact field it shows me all the contacts in my system. Surely this is wrong? Should it not just show the contacts associated with this potential, or even account. Can anyone

Can you please put the link to the forums back on the help screens for each Zoho module. This morning I went to check the status on a couple of questions I posted on May 15. Export Data
Hi guys, I am trying to export data from zoho crm but coming across an interesting issue. One of my contact fields is Tel Number. I have entered number in there like this +97150-555-5555. When data is exported to excel it treats it like a formula and tried to calulate it and as a result puts a small number in the the excel cell. Is there a way to avoid this issue? Thanks, Aneesh
Data Export Question
Hi guys, I'm running a small business and currently reviewing Zoho CRM for our use. I tried to export my contacts from Zoho and stumbled upon something. Everytime i export the data the telephone fields dont show the number correctly. I have entered the number in the system as I would to help with international dialing. For example in the system I entered a number like this: +97150-555-5555 I think the system treats this like a forumla and when i export it excel calculates it and gives me a number.
sending purchase order - vendor mail
I create Purchase order - picking up mandatory field - Vendor name (i have provided email for this vendor). Save purchase order and try to send by email - system doesn't pick up email from vendor tab :/ - in mail there is only my email and footer - i have to provide manualy fields To:, Subject: Body. User locked out
I have a user that keeps getting routed to the ZOHO Accounts section and cannot access our CRM. RonCrabtree - part of MetaOps Inc. is the user who is looked out. Task Notes
Can a Notes section be added to the Tasks field? We are using tasks to track orders as they proceed from sales to administration to credit to provisioning. The ability to add notes which automatically provides a time stamp of all correspondence would be invaluable.

How can I notify a case owner when a new case is assigned to them OR when the case ownership changes from one user to another (I need to notify the new user. ) I found this post http://help.zoho.com/portal/en/community?ftid=2266000000008756 But it isn't quite what I need. Mail Merge
I have signed up for the 30 day mail merge trial. I have downloaded and installed the plug in, and seem to have created a template in MS Word. I have created the mail merge folder and uploaded the templates I had previously created. With the directions printed out and in hand, I am attempting to perform a mail merge but when I click on More Actions (waaaaaaaaaay down at the bottom of the page), Mail Merge does not show up as one of the options. Any suggestions?
Can't not create any new items no field details showing..
Wondering if you have bug as I can't create any new items, its not showing any details expect for the the save buttons. I get the same results when I click on the data on the left panel like my last account. Have attached an image of when I clicked on create potential. Cheers J
Importing events?
I've successfully imported my accounts and contacts (from SugarCRM), but still need to import my events (tasks, meetings, etc.). Other messages in this forum suggest using Setup > Data Administration > Migrate Data from other CRM, but this seems to be "grayed out" and inactive. Can someone please tell me why this is and how I can get my events imported into Zoho CRM? Thanks! --Kenn

Need Mozilla add-on code for sending e-mail. When I click an e-mail address within a web site it auto-loads Outlook which does not work on my computer. zoho tech sent me a link to a Mozilla add-on that when loaded caused e-mail links to open in zohoMail. I upgraded to Windows 7 RC from 7 beta and cannot find the code. I sent an e-mail to support but have not back. Anyone with the link to the Mozilla Add-on allowing e-mail linking to "other than Outlook" greatly appreciated.

Hi we have two independent Zoho services users that can easily share and collaborate on Zoho sheets. We have both signed up for the free CRM trial but neither of us can now invite the other person. Hi there, currently the search function in CRM is not working properly. For instance when searching a product in "Sales Order" or "Purchase order" .. it brings nothing or everything when you do search by specific product code. It doesnt allow to change the search functionality within search. Also is there way to extend the view from 10 to 50 when you do search for product within Sales or Purchase order. thanks.

Invitees for recurring events are displayed only on the first instance of the meeting
Issue: When you set up a recurring meeting and invite other CRM users these invitees are only displayed on the very first instance of the meeting in the calendar view. To replicate: 1. Create an event using "new event" link or other methods 2. Make it recurring (let's say weekly, for next 6 months) 3. Save the event (this is actually contr-intuitive since one would expect inviting others then saving it!) 4. Invite other users 5. Go to calendar view 6. Extracting the YEAR and MONTH of a date for Reporting
I would like to create a sales report comparing summaries by year. How do I extract the YEAR portion of e.g. the Invoice Creation Date? Or may be there is a better way. I would like to compare last year and this year to see where my sales season is at its highest! ;-) Benthe Jessen
Sorting Bug
The Products view hangs after trying to sort the list of products. A "Loading" message appears, the page freezes and it becomes impossible to see the list of products. The list of products become visible again after changing the Custom View for the Products page. However, the view will freeze again if another sort is attempted. Has anyone else come across this bug? And, is there any fix available?

It does not seem possible to print data on the sales order page that is recorded on the product's page. Is there any way to do this?

I tried to alphabetize our accounts on the products page and in 10 seconds the notice that the session has timed out appeared and a new home page overlay appeared over the original. Now it is impossible to open the products page. I was able to open it under another view, but that froze up later as well. How do we unfreeze the products page? All of the other pages are fine. Wylie

Hi, My email setting just recently changed within the last hour or so. None of the email templates that anyone has at my company are pre-populating in our templates. Thus, each time we have an email with a set attachment, we have to now go in & manually attach each attachment. Was there a recent Zoho update that did this? Can this setting be restored? Thank you!

Hi, Recently when I click on the CRM icon the screen switches to CRM and tries to log me in automatically....which it used to do fine. But now it just sits there with Loading.....Please wait. and nothing ever progresses. To access CRM now, I have to launch a whole new browser session and log in manually. Then it seems to work ok, for that session. Any ideas? Thanks Luke
