View Only Users for a particular Project
Guys, We want to have a profile for a project (Private Project, and not public) where the profile has View only access. The users under that profile can only view everything but cannot create or edit or delete any records? How to achieve that? Thanks
New URL field should be a clickable link in Reports
The new URL field in Projects would be so much more useful if when included in a report, it would be a clickable link. Both Live reports and report exports sent out on a schedule. That would be very, very useful!!
calendar in iPhone app?
I'm considering switching over to zoho projects, over from teamwork.com - are you planning on adding a calendar in to the iPhone app? im not talking about 1 way sync to the iPhones calendar app, I'm talking about a built in calendar in the zoho projects app that lets us create and edit events.
How do you do plan projects in Zoho Projects when tasks can exceed budget and "Budgeted vs Planned" only syncs every 6 hours?

Problems with Zoho Projects & Support
Hi. We're having some issues on all Zoho products we work with. Some users are getting error when logging into Zoho Support. It doesn't happen to me, but I'm not being able to reply tickets (I get error Z101 doing it). One other user has his Zoho Proyects account completely empty. He lost all his assigned proyects and loaded hours to them. When logging into administrator account, we get Account locked message. Any help would be welcome. Thanks!
Sending an Invoice based on Closed Task/Milestone
Is it possible to create a Blueprint or Workflow that will automatically send an invoice to a customer once an identified task/milestone or the project itself is closed? Example: A Deal is won with a Fixed Amount of $500. An invoice and a project is created from the Deal module. At the time the associated project is being created the user specifies which task or milestone triggers the invoice to be sent to the customer.

create global custom views on Project screen that other users can access
Need to be able to create custom views on project screen and determine the columns and filters much like Zoho CRM works. Need to be able to assign the view to different users or all users. Right now, I have to customer the columns per project per user. that is not practical. There are a number of fields we don't have any use for and they show up by default.
A "Task Name" filter should exist in every view.
When you create new statuses, they appear under a searchable filter called Custom Status. Pretty useful. Why is it there's not searchable filter called Task name? Seems like a pretty big oversight.
Mass delete Projects?

Can you customize what columns Client Users have access to in the Task List view?
We are setting up Client Users for our customers to access the projects we are working on for them. However, there is an issue preventing us from releasing this access to our customers. At the moment when a Client User logs and views the Task List view they can see the Work Planned, Time Log, and Difference fields. See attached screen grab where I have highlighted the specific fields. We do not want customers to view this. Some of our projects aren't even billed hourly yet we use the time log
Task info on "My Calendar" should be customizable.
The My Calendar view would be much more useful if users were able to change the Task info surfaced on calendar entries. We should be able to choose to see any combination of at least the milestone, tasklist, and status in the entry. This is especially true since tasklists don't have owners and milestones can only be assigned to one user. Doing this would make the calendar useful at a glance. Logging over midnight is not supported
I'm in Australia at GMT+8. I frequently see a warning Time logging is not allowed for future dates when I go in to edit an entry. I recently encountered the error below. Recurring tasks with specific recurring dates
Is there a way to setup recurring tasks so the task recurs on the same date each time? For example, I have a task that should recur with a due date of March 15th every year. Or a task with a due date of the 10th of each month. I thought I saw an announcement from a few weeks ago that this was an enhancement, but I can no longer find the announcement and my trial version does not show the new screens to enable this.

Task completion percent based on completed subtasks
Is it possible to have a given task's completion percentage update based on the subtasks completed? For example, Task has 2 Subtasks, when one subtask is closed, Task shows 50% complete.
Sorting tasks in My Tasks view
Why can't we sort tasks (or projects) by the column headers? What's mystifying is that in Books, Inventory, and CRM, we can sort by column headers in all views. Why the inconsistency? Stuck on "Create New Portal" Page
I am trying to get started with Zoho projects. I believe I am "signed in" with a user name and password. The first thing it tells me to do is create a portal. There is a line that has http://projects.zoho.com/portal/ then it has a blank area for me to enter my new portal name. When I enter something here, and then click on the "Create New Portal" button, nothing happens. It simply clears the field and I'm still stuck on this page. UI enhancements in Gantt charts
We recently launched a bunch of new features in Projects. Our Gantt charts were revamped to accommodate the most awaited feature - four types of task dependency. Here is a brief summary of the enhanced features supported by Gantt charts that will come in handy while working with task dependencies: Drag a line to set dependency. It's that simple. Need to be able to set a Closed Task as a Predecessor task
When using a roll-up defined project I find that I often have to add new tasks that are dependent on a existing closed task. Having this dependency will set the Start date of the new task. Unfortunately Projects does not allow the adding a dependency on a completed task. The work around is to go back and change the predecessor task to open, then add the dependency for the new task...and then go back and close the predecessor task (and remember to return the predecessor task completed date to the

Clickable links in fields
I have a custom field I made called 'Tracking #', and I want to be able to put a clickable link in that field so I can click on it and go directly to my tracking info from my task in the project. Need to be able to set a Predecessor dependency on a Closed Task
I often need to add a follow-up task to a completed task. Unfortunately Projects will not allow using a closed task as a predecessor to this new task. This is an annoyance that requires opening the predecessor task, then set the dependency and then close the task again (remembering the proper previously set completed date). Is there a technical reason for this limitation?
Need to be able to copy a closed Task
It would be great if it would be possible to Copy a closed task. Having to open a task to copy it and then Close it (and remember to return the completed date back to the original date) is very cumbersome. This is one of many limitations of working with Completed tasks.
Default Work Type for a task
It would be great when setting the Work value in a task to have the Work Type i.e. hours per day, hours) default to a configurable Work Type. We generally use Work Hours, which is the not the default. We have to be very careful about not missing this. When entering hundreds of task in a project this becomes quite tedious and time consuming.
