The Field type property enables you to change a field in a form into another type of field.

The following table lists the available field type conversions. Refer to this page to learn how to change a field to a different type.

Note: 

1. The above field type conversions can be done after form creation. If you want to do other field conversions, you have the provision to do so while creating a form by importing data. For example, you can choose to convert a drop down into a multi select field in the latter situation while it cannot be done post form creation.
   
2. You can change field type for the following fields only - email , single line , multi line , rich text , number , decimal , percent , currency , radio , multi select , checkbox and integration fields.
3. Converting decimal, currency, and percentage field types to number field type could lead to some data loss.
   
4. When a single select lookup or a multi select lookup is used, the field type cannot be changed.
