New module: RADIUS

1. RADIUS

What it is
Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service, also known as RADIUS, is a networking protocol that provides secure, centralized authentication for users connecting to a network. Essentially, a RADIUS server validates users and determines whether they're allowed to access the network. It handles authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) whenever a user connects, most commonly via Wi-Fi.
With RADIUS, each user can connect using individual credentials rather than sharing a common password, making access control more secure and manageable.

How it works
  1. In a home setting: Authentication is simple. A device (called a supplicant, like a laptop or phone) requests access to the network. The router acts as a network access server (NAS) and authenticates the device using a pre-shared key (PSK). Since there are only a few users, managing access is straightforward.
  2. In an enterprise setting: Managing Wi-Fi access for many employees becomes complex. RADIUS simplifies this by storing all employee credentials in a centralized database. Advanced protocols like EAP-TTLS (Extensible Authentication Protocol Tunneled Transport Layer Security) create secure TLS tunnels for encrypted data transfer. Within these tunnels, credentials are sent securely using PAP (Password Authentication Protocol), ensuring both security and resistance to attacks.
Zoho Directory integrates RADIUS authentication into your Wi-Fi setup, allowing employees to use their Zoho Directory credentials to connect. When a user attempts to access the network:
    1. The credentials are sent to Zoho Directory servers.
    2. The server verifies the credentials and sends back either an acceptance or rejection message.
Because all employee details are stored securely in a centralized database, administrators can easily manage access, ensuring that only authenticated users are connected to the organization’s networks.

Key features and capabilities
  1. Centralize user authentication for Wi-Fi networks.
  2. Get secure tunnels via EAP-TTLS.
  3. Set individual user credentials for better access control.
  4. Integrate with Zoho Directory for identity management.
Benefits
  1. Store all credentials securely in one centralized place.
  2. Reduce the risk of unauthorized access with individual credentials.
  3. Easily manage access for large teams or multiple locations.
  4. Ensure encrypted, secure transmission of credentials with EAP-TTLS and TLS.
Why it matters
RADIUS reduces the risks associated with shared Wi-Fi passwords and ensures only authorized users access your network.

Features in the Reports module

1. Audit logs

What it is
In any organization, multiple processes run simultaneously, generating record entries, updates, and triggered workflows. Audit logs provide a complete chronological record of all these activities, helping you monitor every change made within your Zoho One environment.

How it works
  1. Capture who performed an action, what was changed, and when it occurred.
  2. Include detailed records of activities such as adding applications, importing bulk users, updating, configuring, and more.
  3. Use it as a vital tool for troubleshooting, compliance, and security monitoring.
Key features and capabilities
  1. See detailed chronological logs.
  2. Get records of user actions, configurations, imports, and more
  3. Diagnose issues and track system behavior.
Benefits
  1. Enable administrators to investigate access issues or permission changes.
  2. Support regulatory compliance with detailed, traceable records.
  3. Offer visibility into system usage, ensuring that all organizational changes are accountable and transparent.
Why it matters
Audit logs provide organizations with control and insight over their operations, enhancing security, accountability, and operational efficiency.

New module: Portals

1. Unified Client Portal

What it is
The Unified Client Portal is a secure platform in Zoho One that allows businesses to manage client relationships and provide them with access to all resources and services in one centralized location. Clients can be individuals or companies who use your products or services, and the portal ensures they can access everything they need from your business in a single, secure space.

How it works
Zoho One’s Unified Client Portal integrates multiple portals into one platform, enabling businesses to manage client interactions efficiently. Applications can be added to the portal and assigned to clients, who can log in securely to view their accounts and information. The portal can also be customized by admins to enhance the home view and provide a personalized experience.

For example, a banking application acts as a portal where clients can log in with a username and password to access services like transferring money, checking balances, paying bills, and downloading account statements.

Key features and capabilities
  1. Get secure access for clients.
  2. Support multiple apps in one portal.
  3. Customize your home view.
  4. Streamline management for client accounts.
Benefits
  1. Let admins manage all of their client interactions and resources from one platform that’s accessible only to their clients.
  2. Get a secure, personalized, and easy-to-navigate interface.
  3. Let admins assign applications to clients and manage their access easily.
Why it matters
The Unified Client Portal is ideal for any business looking to provide their clients with a secure, integrated, and personalized platform for accessing services, information, and applications.

New module: Anomaly Detection

1. Anomaly Detection

What it is
The Anomaly Detection module in Zoho One helps organizations monitor and manage unusual or anomalous activities in the application to ensure data security is never compromised. Any activity that deviates from normal patterns, such as logging in from an unusual device, location, IP address, browser, or at an unusual time, is marked as an anomaly. Both admin and non-admin users can be actors of an anomaly, while the user affected by the activity is referred to as the target.

How it works
The Anomaly Detection module is divided into two main sections:

Dashboard: The Dashboard tab provides an overview of anomaly patterns, helping admins understand trends and adjust security practices. Widgets in the dashboard allow filtering based on specific timelines and display anomalies by count, type, actor, and impact.

Anomalies: The Anomalies tab lists all detected anomalous activities with details such as actor email, login info, activity details, and the reason the activity was flagged. Admins can take action on anomalies by marking them as non-anomalous if safe, deactivating the actor to restrict access, or resetting passwords to prevent potential breaches.

Key features and capabilities
  1. Get a timeline-based anomaly dashboard.
  2. See detailed anomaly reporting with context.
  3. Use admin actions for blocking, resetting, or marking safe.
  4. Detect suspicious behavior early.
Benefits
  1. Identify and respond to unusual activities before they become threats.
  2. Get insights into anomaly patterns by type, actor, and impact in the dashboard.
  3. Take quick actions such as deactivating accounts or resetting passwords to protect organizational data.
Why it matters
The Anomaly Detection module is ideal for any organization using Zoho One that wants to maintain strict control over user activities, monitor potential security threats, and take proactive measures to safeguard sensitive data.

A better clarity so you can create other users to start using Zoho Mail. You can directly Add Users from the Control Panel to your Organization. You can invite users with the existing email address. If the person (user) already uses ZohoCRM, then you can import users from Zoho CRM. You can also import them using a .csv file. (if you are planning to add them in Bulk)  In this topic, We will be discussing on how to Add and Invite users only.  The Import options are self explanatory. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
