Reduce the number of Task steps required to makes a call or send an email.
Unless I have missed something, the way things are at the moment is that if you have a - task to call a lead - one has to: 1) Click on the Leads link. 2) Scroll down to Log a Call 3) Log the call details / Save 4) Go back to the task 5) Mark the task as complete or Clone. A) Would it be possible to add links from the task to Log Calls / email events / etc. this would cut out steps 1 & 2.
Call log or note-to-task
Hello, I've searched the forums for call logging, but find only sporadic mentions to include it in the next update, this going back several years. A simple solution would be a "note to task" option, where your note (call log, in this instance) can be given a follow up date and defacto become a task, without losing the integrity of being a note (important client information, and not just a to-do list). Will this be possible soon? Or are you implementing call logs in another way? Thanks!
multi-line comments in potential module ?

Repeating calendar entries
Have made recurring item in my calendar, changed my mind and wanted to delete it could not. Has made entries up to 2010, thought it was an issue with Safari, did the process over again in Firefox, but didn't help. If you delete a recurring calendar entry why does Zoho CRM not remove it properrly, want my calendar wiped, if this is a functionality flaw then it's a serious one. Discount Levels on Products...
Is it possible to have 3 discount levels for a product and to have the first two available to all users but to restrict the 3rd level to managers field level access? This can be a percentage or a price if that makes it easier. Any help is appreciated. Wes

Managing Potentials: Scenarios!
Hi Folks, I am currently investigating the best way to have potentials (opportunities) used within ZOHO. Any feedback on the best practice for some of the scenarios to follow would be appreciated! We have an existing account, to which we have a 3 year contract (part way through) to supply a number of products. I have just stated to use Zoho CRM and would like to know if it is possible (or will be in the future) in the opportunities page to link an attachment to a Google docs file? This would allow my team to work on a proposal linked to a specific opportunity. Once the proposal is complete then it could be attached in the normal way. Rob
Email view in Activity
Since email is a activity. I am trying to do a Activity view showing emails from today. That way I can place this on my home page and see today's emails. However emails do not appear int eh activity view. Please advise if I am missing something here or there is a al;alternate way of doing this. Hey, does the platform have a way to do searches from my smart phone to find all businesses in my database that are located close to my present physical location... So, when make a sales call I can map out prospect I could pop in on to do and impromptu sale call or client call. Zoho CRM in Google Apps - cannot renew license
I was having issues using my Zoho CRM installation in my Google Apps domain so I uninstalled the app. I have attempted to re-install the app which appears to have worked except for the fact that I cannot renew my license for the app. I click on the link marked "renew license" but nothing happens...can anyone help? thanks in advance Raf Sanchez

Converting Lead with same name doesn't create a new account.
Hello, When i convert a lead with the same name as a previously converted lead, it makes a potential and Contact but no Account. So only the original Account from the previously converted lead is there. The people are different so i don't want to attach the protential and contact to it. Why on conversion doesn't it recognise there is an account of this name already, do you with to add to this account or open a new account? Chris

Hi Folks, I posted something similar in the general help wanted forum, having now found this forum here is the refined version! Scenario: We receive a lead, to provide a years worth of products, to be called off on a JIT basis, at an agreed price (+/- an index). The lead becomes a potential when a tender is submitted to supply 100,000 widgets to the company over a year. If we assume a widget costs £1, the potential revenue is 100,000. The contract gets awarded to ourselves, and we start supply.

How to display product name(rathan than product details- empty) in customize invoice view
Hi there, I am working on customization of Invoice view. In the selections, there is only category called 'Product Details', however, if I select this, it's empty when displaying it in the Invoice view. The data I want is the product name. How can I create a "Calculated Field" in CRM?
In order to calculate "Profit" analysis; I need to add a calculated field to the "Potential". What I had done is I had added a % field called Profitability(%). Then I need : a) Either a calculated field which multiplies "Expected Revenue" with "Profitability(%)" or b) A report field that will be able to calculate this. Any suggestions? Regards, Haluk

Hi, Is there a way to customize the name of the automatically generated emails I get from Zoho for reminders to do tasks? Right now these emails arrive in my inbox with the seemingly unimportant and totally vague sounding name of: "systemgenerated." I use Gmail and I tried to see if there was something within Gmail I could do (add as contact, etc.) but nothing. So I am trying to see from the Zoho side if there is anything I can do. I am worried I will overlook these if I dont change the name! Thanks!
Probelm creating a Custom Field with the same name, but a different type
Hi, I originally had a custom field named "Property Value" with a CURRENCY type. I deleted that field and made a new one, with the same name, and made it a TEXT type. However, when I try to make a new lead and type in that value, it still only accepts currency values. It does not treat it as text, yet that is what it is defined as in the "List of Fields" area under account setup. Do I have to use a new custom field name? Is there a lag time for the custom field to be updated? This seems like a bug

Custom Layout Problems - view different for different users
I have worked on custom fields and custom layout under the potentials module (and renamed it to Projects). Everything was going well until I went to show my boss what I had done. He logged into his account on Zoho CRM and the layout was completely different and was still named 'Potentials' (even though the actual tab says Projects). So I now feel really embarrassed, I have spent the best part of 6 hours making a completely customized 'Projects' module with formulas and cost allocations blah blah

Hi there, I am new to Zoho CRM, currently I have set up six products and I imported my customers(more than 200). Edit field pick list - Cannot save list "Special Characters not Allowed" error message
I had a list of entries in a drop down list as follows: Press: Newspaper A Press: Newspaper B Web: Site A Web: Site B I wish to add new entries to the list that would appear in the drop down. Since the latest CRM upgrade recently I can neither add new entries or even save the existing entries without the error "Special Characters not Allowed" being displayed. I have removed the : and / characters that I had in some of the entries and was able to save the current list once with out adding new entries.

Is it possible to set up auto responders for the contacts that have quotes? We would like to start a drip campaign for all quotes that go out, triggered from the day the quote goes out, then start the drip campaign from there. Inserting image to email template
Hi, I can't seem to get email templates working with inserted images. I've tried a couple of examples posted in other posts, but no luck. I'm using Setup > Templates > Email Templates I create a new template I insert the HTML code to link to an image on my web site, as well as some other HTML formatting and text. CRM calendar problem
Hi, I have a pro crm account with 4 users, and would like to have a calendar where the crm calendar would show up entirely. However i can only get to display the events i am responsible and not those created by any of the other users in the crm account. That is... i cannot view the whole crm calendar in my zoho calendar page, not even with sharing all users. Is there a workaround?
