Making a floor plan
Note: You can't create or upload floor plans for online events. This option is only available for in-person and hybrid events.
Go to Exhibitor > Floor Plan > Floor Planner tab, from the Dock.
Click the Create floor plan button to make a floor plan from scratch. The Floor Planner will be displayed. The Floor Planner includes a design area with options on the left and right panes and the top bar.
Use the options on the left pane to add details to your floor plan.
Select: Select and move items in the design area. Select multiple items at once by clicking an item, pressing the SHIFT key, and then clicking the next item.
Hand: Pan across the Floor Planner.
Booth: Create new booths for your event. After you add a booth, click any of the four directional arrows along the booth's edge to add another booth in the corresponding direction. New booths you create in the Floor Planner will also be listed in the Booths tab from the Exhibitors tab.
Text: Add text that gives more context to the symbols or elements you've added.
Shapes: Draw out shapes to be added as elements in your plan or draw out the borders of the floor in your event.
Elements: Add scaled-down versions of elements, spots, or items from your space to make the plan resemble the actual floor.
Use the floor plan control options from the top bar to navigate, adjust views, manage items, and perform other actions.
Undo and redo: Go back to the previous action done or repeat actions.
Flip up and down: Rotate the floor plan in 180° in the selected direction.
Copy, paste, and duplicate: Replicate or move data within your floor plan.
Gridlines: Get a visual reference of the alignment and spacing of elements in the floor plan.
Guides: Activate blue guidelines for precise positioning of elements when moving them.
Zoom in, Zoom out, and Reset: Adjust the level of focus to view specific items or the entire plan.
Lock or unlock: Lock and unlock the floor plan.
Delete: Remove items from the floor plan.
Use the options on the right pane. These options will be dynamically displayed based on the item you've selected from the design area.
Alignment options: Align elements based on the element that is next to it.
Booths tab: View the list of your booths here. Click + beside a booth that isn't on the floor plan to add it.
Properties tab: Click on any element in the design area to see more options to modify its appearance.
Layers tab: Manage the positioning and appearance of elements within the floor plan. Each element will be displayed in a separate layer. You can move, rearrange, lock, and unlock layers.
Preferences tab: Set how booth status should be shown on the floor plan. Assign colors for available, booked, and on-hold booths.
Save the floor plan.
Click the Close button to exit the Floor Planner. The created floor plan will be displayed under the Floor Planner tab. This tab can be found in the Floor Plan tab within the Exhibitors tab.
Create a second floor plan
Click the + icon in the top pane. The Create Floor Plan pop-up will appear.
Enter the floor name.
Click Create.
Switch between created floor plans
Open the dropdown menu in the top bar of the Floor Planner and select the plan you want to edit.
Click the Properties tab on the right pane to manage this floor plan.
Click the Edit icon [] associated with your floor plan to rename it.
Click the Delete icon [] associated with your floor plan to delete it.
Set up floor plan preferences
Go to Exhibitor > Floor Plan > Preferences tab, from the Dock.
Click the Allow booth requests from floor plan toggle. This option will make your floor plan interactive, allowing website visitors who are interested in exhibiting at your event to choose and apply for a booth directly from the floor plan.
Select the unit of measurement to use when working with items in your floor plan.
Upload a floor plan
Go to Exhibitor > Floor Plan > Floor Planner tab, from the Dock.
Click the Upload floor plan button to select a file from your local system.
Click Change to select a different image from your local system.
Click Delete to remove the uploaded image.
Go to Exhibitor > Floor Plan > Floor Planner tab, from the Dock.
Select the floor plan you want to edit in the dropdown if you have multiple floor plans created.
Created floor plan: Click the Edit option to make changes.
Uploaded floor plan: Click the Change option to replace the existing floor plan with a new one.
Click Save.
Note: If you have multiple floor plans created, select the specific floor plan in the dropdown from the Floor Planner tab before you click the Edit link.
Go to Exhibitor > Floor Plan > Floor Planner tab, from the Dock.
Click the Delete button on the top right of the floor plan. The Delete floor plan dialogue box will appear.
Click Delete. The saved floor plan will be deleted.
Note: Deleted floor plans can't be retrieved.
Add a floor plan section
Choose the type of floor plan you want to add in the Add section pop-up before adding the Floor plan section.
For exhibitors: Select this option to allow exhibitors to book available booths directly from the floor plan. Filled and inactive booths will also be shown.
For event participants: Select this option so event participants can see the confirmed exhibitors and their booth location on the floor plan.
Add the section to the website.
Go to Exhibitors > Exhibitor Summary, from the Dock.
Use the search and filter options to view specific analytics for an exhibitor.
Click the (Email Leads) icon for an exhibitor to send leads they've generated.
