What is BadgeUp?
BadgeUp is a smart badge builder that allows you to design and generate event badges efficiently. Having badges for your attendees not only helps you identify the level of access or involvement that people at your event have, but also allows event participants to connect with each other easily. You can add or modify different elements to a badge such as the details of the person and event, a background, and a QR code to customize the badge and depict the theme of your event visually.
Backstage allows you to create badges in the following preset sizes: A7, A6, CR80, and CR100. These sizes are available in portrait and landscape orientations.
Can I design my badge in a custom size?
Yes, Backstage allows you to create badges in a custom size. When creating a new badge, select the Custom radio button in the Badge options dialog box and enter the specific dimensions in the Width and Height text boxes. You can always modify the size in the Design panel in the badge editor at any time.
Can I design badges based on event participant roles?
Yes, with Backstage you can design different badge designs for organizers, speakers, and staff. You can choose to make a common style for all attendees of your event or you can design different badges based on the ticket classes for your event.
How can I export or download badges?
Once your badge design is ready, you will be able to generate it as a PDF document based on the page layout settings you have provided. The PDF files will then be available for download in the Generated files section for that specific badge design.
Can I modify the default page layout before exporting badges?
Yes. Click the Generate PDF button for a badge design to open the Generate PDF dialog box. Here, click the Edit page layout link below the Preview section on the right. This action will open the Layout settings dialog box where you can modify the size, orientation, and margin of the page for printing. You can also set the cutting mark, the sorting arrangement for badges, and the grouping sequence of front and back sides for every badge.
What are badge credits and how do they work?
Badge credits are tokens that you can purchase from the
Payments page in Backstage. These credits enable you to generate the badge designs that you've created. If you have a Zoho One subscription, please contact
support@zohoone.com to purchase your badge credits. Each credit enables you to generate a badge design for a person who has a ticket to or is part of your event team.
How many badge credits will be deducted if I modify a previously generated badge for an attendee and download it again?
When you generate a badge for an attendee in your event for the first time, a badge credit will be deducted from your account. You can modify this design and regenerate it again for the same attendee without any additional charge.
