Reassigning a ticket
Transfer your ticket to someone else if you are unable to attend the event, or if you have multiple tickets purchased under your email address.
For example, let's say Jessica purchases two tickets for an event, one for herself and one for her colleague. Jessica can reassign the ticket to her colleague by editing the details of the second ticket. She can modify the email address that the ticket is associated with to the email address of her colleague.
Similarly, when you reassign a ticket, the new assignee will receive an email with the ticket details.
- Click the user avatar for your microsite account in the top-right corner.
- Select Your tickets in the dropdown menu. The Your tickets tab will display with your ticket details.
- Click the Edit icon [
]. The Edit details panel will open.
- Modify the name of the ticket holder to the assignee's name.
- Change the current email address to the assignee's email address.
- Click Save.
Note: If you have purchased the ticket that you reassigned, you can always access and edit the reassigned ticket from the Your Orders tab.
Claiming a ticket
In our previous example, if Jessica did not reassign the second ticket, her colleague can claim the ticket from her by themselves. In the same way, you can claim a ticket from the event microsite after you have signed in to the microsite. Claiming a ticket will disassociate the ticket from the previous email address and assign it to your email address.
- Click the user avatar for your microsite account in the top-right corner.
- Select the Your Tickets option in the dropdown menu. The You have no tickets for this event pop up will be displayed.
- Click Claim Ticket. The Claim tickets dialog box will be displayed.
- Enter the ticket ID that you want to claim.
- Click Next. An OTP will be sent to the ticket owner's email address.
- Enter the OTP that the owner has received.
Note: Click the Resend code link here if you want to send the code again. - Click Done.
