Checking attendees in and out
With Zoho Backstage's mobile checking in feature, you can get rid of long queues and conventional tools. Give your attendees an impeccable check-in experience—one that is seamless, efficient, and quick. If you have enabled early check-in on the web app, you can check in attendees even before the event begins. You can also know who's present at any time by checking out attendees who leave midway.
Check in and out by scanning ticket's QR code
Auto-scan and check in
For Android
- Tap the Check-in option. The Event check-in screen will display. Your device's camera will automatically open on this screen.
Note: Grant permission for camera access if not already done. - Tap the Scan and check in option.
- Point the camera to a QR code of the event participant to immediately check them in.
For iOS
- Tap the Attendees tab.
- Tap the
icon. The Check in screen will display. Your device's camera will automatically open on this screen.
Note: Grant permission for camera access if not already done. - Tap the
icon at the top-right of the screen. The Check-in options panel will display.
- Tap the Scan and auto check in option.
- Point the camera to a QR code of the event participant to immediately check them in.
Scan and manually check in
For Android
- Tap the Check-in option. The Event check-in screen will display. Your device's camera will automatically open on this screen.
Note: Grant permission for camera access if not already done. - Tap the Scan ticket option.
- Point the camera to a QR code of the event participant. The Participant details pop-up will display.
- Review details of the event participant.
- Click the Check in button.
For iOS
- Tap the Attendees tab.
- Tap the
icon. The Check in screen will display. Your device's camera will automatically open on this screen.

icon at the top-right of the screen. The Check-in options panel will display.
- Tap the Scan and manually check in option.
- Point the camera to a QR code of the event participant. The details of the participant will display.
- Review details of the event participant.
- Tap the Check In button.

For Android

- Point the camera to a QR code of the event participant to check them out.
For iOS
- Tap the Attendees tab.

Check in and out a pre-registered attendee
Shorten the queues and make check-in a breeze with Backstage's flexible check-in feature. Easily find attendees who have registered before the event day and check them in instantly.
For Android
- Select the Attendees tab.
- Enter the attendee's name, email address, or ticket ID in the search bar.
- Tap the
icon to the right of the right of the attendee's name.
- Tap Check in or Check out as needed.
For iOS
- Tap the Attendees tab.
- Enter the attendee's name, email address, or ticket ID in the search bar.
- Tap
for an attendee. The attendee details will be displayed.
- Tap the Check in button. The attendee will be checked in.
- Tap
to check the attendee out. The attendee details will be displayed.
- Tap the Check out link. The attendee will be checked out.
Check in a new attendee
With Backstage, you can check in new attendees hassle-free on the event day. Easily grant complimentary access with the privileges of paid ticket holders when needed.
For Android
- Select the Attendees option.
- Tap the + icon.
- Select a ticket class.
- Select a payment mode.
Note: If you're not collecting payment for paid tickets, you may choose a non-payment option such as Complimentary here. - Enter payment notes, if any.
- Fill attendee details in the respective form fields.
- Tap Check In.
For iOS
- Select the Attendees tab.
- Tap the + icon.
- Select a ticket class.
- Select a payment mode.
Note: If you're not collecting payment for paid tickets, you may choose a non-payment option such as Complimentary here. - Fill attendee details in the respective form fields.
- Enter additional notes, if any.
- Tap Check In.
View check-in details
Quickly get the details pertaining to check in from the Dashboard.
