unable to edit file properly

Question about Creator and DB
I'm trying to find out if anyone has created forms in Zoho Creator and somehow linked them to Zoho DB? The idea being to be able to automatically populate DB tables and then do queries and analyses on the data with Zoho DB & Reports. Would appreciate a response from Zoho as well on this. Thanks. End User Update button
Greetings, In my application, I need for end users to be able to log in, view rows, and click on a button or a link for a row that will update the row, setting one of the fields equal to the users login id. I'm not sure how to beging to do this. I thought that I'd need to create a user defined function first. However, under 'script>>functions' when I create a new function and drag 'update records' into it, and click on 'edit' the screen freezes up, and I'm unable to edit anything. I need two things.
How to work with sub-forms?

Sorting with Multiple fields
Sorting with multiple fields doesn't seem to work on my Creator application the way I expect it to. My sort specifications are: Last Name, First Name, Captain I expect my data to first be sorted by last name, then first name within last name, then by the "Captain" field which just contains an "X" in it without changing the Last Name, First Name sort order that previously had been executed. What happens is that the data is sorted by the Captain field, but the data is not in Last Name, First Name order
Default text in Multi line?
Is there anyway to have a default text in a multi line field (the text will appear as a default for each new record and it may be modified by the user at the time od data input)? Populating error with a "combined view"
I am designing an application "trading master", to track trading projects in the company. I have a problem with the view "Po item listing". I want to choose some of the date fields in the form "Purchase orders - PC", like "final inspection date", "vessel date", etc. But once I choose any date field, the populating process will fail. Hi, I really like your product. I have been a developer for over 30 years and have seen lots of different products. Maybe I haven't seen it but I would like to see the following as built in functions. 1. Day of Week that will give you "Sunday", "Monday" etc. Currently I wrote my own function to do this. Bug in "for each list value" functionality
Hi, I'm using in my app "for each list value" functionality for e-mail notifications. And here's the bug: When I open a form for the first time and select choices A, B, C from a multi-select field, and then submit it, the form sends an e-mail notification with the selected choices (A, B, C). How do I create an attendance tracker?
I am trying to create an attendance tracker for our church services. We currently have the members names and dates in an excel spreadsheet. The dates form the column headings and the names head up each row. We then print out the sheet and manually put a check mark in the box for each attendee then count up the total number of attendees. Trying to let others add and edit data in my application
I have created an application, and I have invited a user to share it. She can seem to access the shared application okay, and can also add new entries to the database (in the main form) - but she doesn't have permission to edit data in spreadsheet or list views... I am pulling my hair trying to work out what I should do - I really don't understand the concept of workspaces at all. Help? Alphabetical Order
In Creators view form I am trying to get a a column in list view to show up in alphabetical order. Unfortunately this is not working. I know that creator tags these items with a date tag and then organizes them according to latest modified and added. Charts not displaying in embedded web pages
Problem: Test computers where not able to see charts embedded into web pages. A view Chart was embedded with private link. The only viewable portion was the frame, the chart image was blank. allow a 2nd dev on a public app?
Hi, I have an application I'd like to be accessible to the public, with no Zoho login required. I'd also like to give one or two other people who DO have Zoho accounts 'developer' permissions so that they can edit the data or form layouts. Is this possible? I can't seem to find a way to allow anyone else to access the application as a developer unless I make the app private. Functions Crashing the Program!
When I go to edit functions Zoho crashes (it says it is "Loading"). I may have written a test function that may use a form that I deleted. Is there any way to clear all the functions? I was hoping to create a view that is an aggregate of a certain form for example in this form, you have fields model and Km/L http://creator.zoho.com/ojdelosreyes/fuel-consumption-matrix/ I want to group the data based on model and average the Km/L PER model and put that in a view. Multi select dates are not retained on edit

I am confused, the system used to allow the set up and saving of sub views. This was great because a user could do this for minor repetitive operations. This seams to have been dropped in favour of being able to set up a new view, this is still a good thing, but for minor users actions this will mean loads of views, and very confusing???? PLease advise??? :(
