CRM Unique ID
I would like to pass the Unique ID of a Potential to an external program so that I can then use the API to query the CRM using the getRecordByID() function. My thought is to create a custom link that calls my external program but the ID field is not one of the fields that I can select and pass. Is there a way to do this? Thanks.

Still finding my way around the Zoho site, and at one point, after finding an incomplete answer, in the Zoho Knowledge Base, to a question with regard to linking Zoho CRM to Google Apps, I found my way to "Submit A Request" but it wasn't clear if it had accepted my Request. I selected "My Requests" to confirm, but it returned that "You cannot track your requests since you're not a registered user of this zohocorp portal" despite the fact that I was/am Loged In to my account. What's that about?
Letters are garbled.

Export Calendar Items to Google Calendar

Products & Contacts
I'm a bit confused about how to link / associate Contacts with Products: I added Products to my Tabs, and created a Test Product. I can’t find any way however to associate a Contact with this? It shows me a section in the Product called “Contacts” and there’s an option “New”, but I want to associate existing Contacts with this. How do I do this? Also, some of our customers book multiple Tours (“Products”). Can a contact be associated with more than one Product?

The obvious lacking feature with ZohoCRM is the ability to make financial projections based on close dates. All that would be required is the ability to group dates. (this is actually a really simple SQL query modification, see 'DATEPART') After reviewing the forums (http://help.zoho.com/portal/en/community/topic/grouping-by-month-then-quarter-then-year) it appears that this functionality was promised in 2007, then in 2008, then in 2009. How to link oppotunity and invoice ?
Hi all, My problem is that I am working on ZOHO CRM and I would like to merge in a document informations from the Accounts, Opportunities and Invoces tables (ZOHO CRM invoice and not ZOHO Invoice application). In fact the problem is rather staight but can not find the solution. In other word I would like to be able to create a document (MS word or Witter) with some fields from the opportunity, some fields (adress...etc) from the account table and the invoice id + the amount from the invoice table.

hyperlinks in text fields / text areas
Instead of plain text I also want to add hyperlinks to webpages, just any kind of URL, for example in lead notes I can do so but the hyperlink text is not decorated at all, now underline, now specific coloring, nothing. I have to manually recognize the string as a hyperlink, explicitly select the entire string, right-click and then chosse "go to ..." (this URL). That's pretty clumsy. Is there no easier way of inserting true hyperlinks, like in (m)any other applications?

Hi there, I am using the Mail add-in and Email templates to send an email to a contact via the "Send email" link in the contact page. There are users "service" and "joe". I am logged in as "service" (cannot log in as "joe") but want the email being sent from user "joe". I have also specified in the email template that it should send it out from user "joe". I have been using Zoho for about 5 months now. The challenge I have is that I don't think I using it to its full capabilities. Is there one place I can go that will teach me how to use the product and it features. Most of the videos that I have found tend to be more salezy tell me what it can do but not how to do it. I own an LLC that has two different DBA's associated with it. There is some crossover between clients from Company A to Company B, and vice versa. I am curious if anyone else is in this situation. Importing Contacts; is an Account created automatically or do I need to create the Account first?
I'd like to import all the our Contacts, some of which are associated with an Account. Do I need to establish the Accounts first, and will Zoho somehow match those Accounts with the Contacts, or will Zoho create an Account if I state an account name while importing? LEADS MODULE: Handling Leads with Chains
How do you input leads that are part of Chains so that you can group them under the overall Chain? It's easy to do under ACCOUNTS, but what about LEADS? For example: I have leads for 15 convenience stores in a state and it turns out that 6 are owned by the same parent company. I want to enter all the leads so I can track activities with each location as well as the home office. Ideally, this would create ACCOUNT - SUBACCOUNTS when the lead moves from LEADS to ACCOUNTS so we don't have to reconnect

CRM w/ Google Apps Integration
We've integrated our google apps business account with the CRM so that when I send emails through the CRM it comes from my work email. After sending the email it shows under a contact's profile in the Email section as "sent". However, how do I document a received email? It looks like it doesn't automatically populate in the same section area as "received". Also, I don't see a way to manually add an email. Am I missing something? TIA!
