Managing privileges
I see from other posts that there's some confusion about how to manage user privileges, and I also haven't found an answer to what I'm trying to do. Profiles, roles, etc are getting all jumbled for me. I have added another User in my Professional version. So I have a paid version. He's a good fellow, so he won't do anything crazy like delete all my records. Still, I'd like to protect myself. So is there a way for me to give him access to all the records, give him permission to edit, but not delete
Associating existing potentials with a new CRM Campaign
Is it possible to add existing potentials to a new campaign? In the Potentials file of my data backup, there is a field called "Campaign Source" that holds the campaign IDs of potentials that have been associated to existing campaigns, but there does not appear to be a way to update this field either through the import feature nor the API. Please advise.
Understanding User Logins for CRM, Support & Forums
We're just getting started with ZohoCRM - and I want to clarify my logins. I am the first user and the current Administrator. I have one login to ZohoCRM and one for ZohoForums. Which login do I use for ZohoSupport? I assumed it would be my ZohoCRM account. I just entered a request/ticket through Zoho Support but then when I went to check the My Requests tab, I was prompted to log in although I was already logged into my ZohoCRM account. Importing Leads - How do I categorize them?
I just uploade a bunch of leads from a spreadsheet that came from a specific source and are a certain type of lead. Now I want to upload another batch but I don't want them combined as they are a different type / source of lead. Is there a way to categorize leads on import and after import?

New contact on existing company.
I am new to Zoho so bear with me, I have searched through the forum and can't seem to find the answer to this question. It's a fairly basic thing so I assume I am doing in incorrectly. I have created an mapped all the custom fields and leads to contacts etc all works great. My problem is when I create a "company" and it has multiple "contacts" I goto the company tab and select add new "contact" and it associates it with the company no problem but it doesn't use any of the data from the company. Search email attached to contact?
I am getting zero results when I search for a word that I know is in an email that is attached to a contact. Previously I know email was searched, but in the search results email is not shown as one of the items. Is email still searched, and maybe my item has just not been indexed yet (the email was added only 10 minutes ago), or is email no longer able to be searched?
Permalink / URL for CRM Records ?
Hi There we have setup several alert functions in our CRM for notifying team members when customers download new products or send us new messages. These alerts include the name and some context information - but what we are missing is the possibility to insert a direct link by which we can directly open the according lead or contact. Need more explanation of Google Calendar sync
When I think of sync, I think of two things "combining" data into one view. However, regarding the recent Google Calendar sync, I'm not sure it's exactly what we'd hoped for. Recurring Task/Reminder only notifying on the first instance
I've set up a handful of recurring tasks and reminders and I only get notified on the first instance. I've asked CRM support and of course are no help at all, and say they are "reviewing the feature as potential add on in a future update" (even though it is already available, it just doesn't work) Has anyone been able to come up with a workaround to accomplish this? This is something we really really need.

Emails sent via crm to gmail show "sent via zohocrm"
When I send an email to a gmail account through the crm, the gmail recipient receives the email, but it shows as coming from "myname sent via zohocrm". I have created the spf records on my domain and I believe I have configured the CRM correctly. When I send and email from zoho email, then it does not show the "sent via" Is there a solution to this. Configurable Products
We sell a ton of configurable products. In PRODUCTS, it looks like you can only have one unit price for a product? Is there a way to setup configurable products within PRODUCTS within Zoho CRM? We need to have the ability to CONFIGURE a product with different options which result in different Unit Prices. If this can't be done, then there's no way for us to produce Quotes within Zoho CRM. Please advise.
Email template merge fields
Hmmmm ... Major problem? I have a number of custom fields in my "Accounts" that I need access to (as merge fields) in my email templates. The problem is they show up as available merge fields if I choose "Record type: Accounts" for the template. But then, the template is NOT available for use with "Contacts". However, if I choose "Record Type: Contacts" my custom "Account" fields are NOT available for merge. I tried "tricking" the system by choosing "Record Type: Accounts" first, choosing

How can I use more than one email address at the same time for one lead?
Hi Many of my leads have more than one email address. I´d like to send a newsletter out to all leads, using more than one address if the lead provided me with more than one. This doesn´t seem possible and I´ve been informed that I need to duplicate the leads, each with one email address. Does anyone know a way around this? It seems strange to have to duplicate leads, just to be able to send an email out to both of their addresses. Surely most people use more than one email address nowadays? Thanks,
Search by Zipcode or Map Integration in Zoho CRM
In Zoho CRM, In my Leads Management, I use the 'Lookup' feature to assign a 'Contact' from the Contacts Module to a 'Lead'. When using the Lookup field, I'd like to be able to search through Contacts by proximity to a zipcode. Is this possible? If not, is there another solution? For example, Create a report and using Proximity to a Zipcode as a variable for that report? Thanks for any help you can offer.

How do I see which products are selling, and the quantities?
Is there a view or a report that I can make to analyse which products are selling? We need to know which products are our best sellers/worst sellers and whether it's worth to continue selling them. We like to review this quarterly and annually. For example, if a certain colour of a product doesn't sell at all in two years, then we will discontinue it. I am a CRM Professional Edition user, small 2 person company. This seems like a fairly normal business requirement… any ideas?

Modifying the composition of Contact person name
In Contact person list view and in the detailed view, the Contact person name is a composition of the first name and the last name. I want to change it, because in our country some last name have a prefix like "Van Dijken", the "Van" is a prefix and we want to put the prefix in a seperate field. The Contact person name in the list view and in the detailed view should be composed of the first name + the prefix + the last name. How can I do that?

Attempting to Send Mail from the Leads page, I get "Only 32000 characters are allowed in your email content." when I select an email template. The template is no where near 32K characters. Send Mail works when template is "none". Anyone know why? Thanks, Dave

Zoho CRM bcc email doesn't work at all
Unlike Salesforce, Evernote and other apps where you bcc to your unique ZohoCRM email address and there is some intelligence behind it, BCC emails simply show up as an email from the bcc email address. It does nothing to identify and account or lead that the email is related to. This appears to be a stubbed off feature that is listed to catch up to competitors. It is a premium option, unlike Evernote. It is not intuitive. It would take less time to re-type the message in the lead/potential from scratch.

My contact zoho crm not receive email
Dear, Already ultilizamos the ZohoCRM at a certain time, and due to numerous complaints from our customers, we realize that emails sent via ZohoCRM are not reaching recipients. We conduct test sending to the client, with copies to our internal email and also do not receive the email. With this, we are saving the quote format. PDF and sending via Thunderbird or webmail. Lose lead source when converting lead to account
When I convert a lead to an account, the lead source information does not appear in the account information that I can find. How can this be carried over so it can be tracked? Is there a way to run an all-encompassing report that will tell me the lead source of the information regardless if the item is a lead, account, potential, closed won, closed lost, etc.?
Migration Zoho to Vtiger CRM, get the data into Zoho?

I can export a file from Vtiger but the Swedish special carracters becomes very strange and I don't really now how to map the different fields especiallly the notes that we have done for each customer. I want to assign contracts to my accounts. According to the Zoho help, I need to first set up SLAs. It says to: To add SLAs follow the steps given below: Click Setup In the Automation section, click SLAs Click Create SLAs Enter a name for the SLA Enter a description about the SLA Check the appropriate SLA-execution settings However, when I go to set up, then Automation, there is nothing there that says SLAs. It only shows workflow rules and assignment rules. Where do I go to set up the SLAs?

BCC Dropbox and Outlook
Hi, Are there any plans to make BCC Dropbox compatible with Outlook? I spoke with support about 1 month ago and it was discovered that it was not working with Outlook-sent mail. It did work with hotmail and gmail. I would imagine that a lot of businesses use Outlook and this is very important. I was excited to see the BCC Dropbox feature released (will be a huge time saver) but using hotmail or gmail for business email exchanges is unprofessional and not an option for us. Thanks, Jeff

Hello, We are currently using Zoho free edition and we're thinking about purchasing a more complete version. Before we'd like to know: If we have several accounts corresponding to several clients, can we give a client #1 the only access to the account "client #1" and no permissions to the other existing accounts?
