separate database creation
Hi All, In my company i have 2 types of contacts: Customers and Dealers. Is it possible to create a separate database for those two? Who can give me a tip?
Access for multiple users
Hello, we have two users on our account but can only access it through one email address. Is each user supposed to be able to access the account separately? My office manager did not get an invitation email when I added her as a user. There is no "re-invite" button on the Users screen. We have the Professional edition. Thanks for your help.
Call Logging...Best Practices???
Anyone out there do any call logging? If so how do you do it? Currently there is not a very efficient way to log a call. If you make it an activity, you have to schedule it like its a future event and then it will download into Outlook, making the Outlook sync even slower, but if you make it a note, you can't tie it to a product. How are you sales people out there logging calls?

Creating new activity listing > criteria field missing!!!
Hi Zoho Forum, I am a new Zoho User (German Zoho Version) and I am a Sales Rep; Therefor I want to create my own new Activity List which must contain a certain criteria: the remember me date. In the activity I know where and how to set or change the remember date and time. But if I try to create the new Activity list "My activities today", I can´t find the criteria field "Remember date/time". What´s wrong? Is this field a victim of the english - german translation process or can it be this field
Email Thread in Vendor, Account?
Is there a way to allow company emails thread (like contacts) to show up in the Organize Vendor (or accounts) details? I have several instances where there are emails that are more suited for a vendor itself, not a contact. I would like to maintain a thread of these emails in the vendor register, but cant seem to find a way. I use this feature in all contacts and it is awesome. Account and Vendor lists should have the same feature as it is possible to link a company email to a vendor.

Zoho CRM vs iPad calendar
I am trying to get my events to move over auto to my default iPad calendar. It tells me to go to settings and fix but when I do, it shows that Zoho isn't even listed as asking for access to my calendar. I am assuming its a simple fix, but I don't know it. Thanks in advance. Dominick

Navigation in the GUI - easier editing of fields
We are migrating to Zoho from Solve360 to take advantage of Zoho's more powerful and customizable CRM functionality of Zoho. When using Gmail can't launch Zoho
When you are in Gmail, you can click on the "More" button and launch Zoho. I used to be able to do this but now I get a message: you do not have access. Contact your administrator. I am the administrator but I can't figure out how to fix this. Now the only way I can login to Zoho is by navigating to the www.crm.zoho.com website.
Zoho CRM Email and Zoho Email
I am confused. I have just added ZOHO Email to my Zoho CRM. All looks good and there is an Email tab where I can send emails from. However the email icon that is shown on the top bar on the right of the contacts page shows no email messages (after selecting all) while there are a few in the email tab. Also I notice that the email template that is set up in ZOHO CRM does not appear when I try and create an email. Are they the same thing ? Thanks for any assistance.
Field Amount of an Oportunity does not hide completelly
Hi all, I want that fields relative to $$$ from oportunities (Amount and Estimated Incoming) become not visible to my employees. So I went to PERMISIONS, profile--> Employees, module--> Oportunities and make those fields hidden. All seems to be OK since I go (logged as employee) to an oportunity and I don't see those fields. Retaining the 0 while exporting telephone numbers into Excel
Hi - I'm trying to find a way of retaining the first 0 of phone numbers when exporting a contacts list from Zoho CRM into Excel. Excel automatically strips the 0 from them because it's at the start of the number, although it is possible to use Format Cells > Custom > 00000000000 in Excel to make UK mobile numbers and landlines appear properly and ready for importing back into Zoho. However, this doesn't work for overseas numbers longer or shorter than 11 numbers. Can anyone suggest a catch-all
Mapping of fields giving trouble
Hi guys I'm busy setting up my Zoho, having a lot of fun and excitement about implementing it. Now, it seems not all fields, especially custom fields generated by me, are available to be mapped which doesn't seem to make sense. I also don't know how Zoho decides to plug what field into the drop down menues available to be mapped under each category. Is there a way to work on this? I couldn't figure out how to move forward from here so my mapping right now doesn't make 100% sense, or is incomplete.

Printing from tab-view without opening the record
I would like to have the ability to select which records I would like to print from the tab-view instead of opening each file. This is essential when printing invoices in large batches or the email traffic for a particular account.
Outlook mail to zoho account like Sapesforce
In my old Salesforce.com account i had a BCC email address that I would add to prospects / customers etc. emails in my outlook and it would then populate into my SF under the account and the contact. Do i have that capability here? Thank you Chris
How do I make Predefined Views not viewable by "standard profile/user"?
We would like the standard profile user not to be able to view the "All Accounts" predefined/standard view. The reason is we don't want each sales person to be able to view others accounts. How can you make the predefined/standard views non-viewable by some?
Is caller already in the database?
This seems like a simple question, but we're new to Zoho. We run a home improvement company that gets lots of calls off our advertising, referrals, etc. We get a lot of repeat business, and when someone calls, we want to ask their name and see if they're already in the database. Ideally, we wouldn't have to enter it once on a search, then again to add them if they're not already there. I'm sure this isn't new ground here. What's the normal practice for doing this?

Bug with "Stage" field and probability
There is a bug with 4 opportunities that were created recently : when we put "Qualification" in the "Stage" field, the probability should be 10% (I checked in the field description and the setup is correct). But this does not work and for this 4 opportunities, the probability is 0% !!! I tried to changed it manually : I did enter manually the stage and the display is correct : 10%. But when I save the opportunity and open it again, the probability is again 0% !!!! Could you please help and explain
How do I change a a client to a contact?
I uploaded a number of my contacts but they were categorized as clients. I updated many of the files manually before noticing the difference. We have categorized contacts as general and clients as companies we are doing business with. Is there a way for me to reclassify existing clients as merely contacts? Thanks!

i love the way that the "add event" shortcut from the lead screen automatically checks for time conflicts. i'd like to be able to add more than one lead to a single event. for example a sales event for which several leads are invited, and i can add several leads/potentials/contacts to the same event. could it be done?

Can't see received emails by collegues even though all steps in the documentation have been implemented.
What could be wrong? I have admin/ceo rights and still can see the received emails from a collegue who has set the sharing to public. Please advice! -- Danny

I have created a Web to lead form and attached it with embed code to web site but I'm not receiving the messages sent through a form to my email. Why is that? Does it have something to do with the status in the Web to lead -view which is a red cross at the moment?
Search layout
Hi, I am dealing with the Zoho CRM module. I've been introducing information about my leads, and now i'm trying to customize the search layout, but it's not turning right. I have read forums and similar other users questions, but it doesn't help. I'll explain myself: I need to visualize different fields in the search layout, so I activate the fields that I want to be able to see in the search layout, going to Setup - Search Layout, and making sure that i make my modifications at the Leads section.
Dates entered within custom date fields for Account and Contact Modules are not automatically copying?
I have customized two date fields within the Account and Contact Modules. The fields are duplicate with same names. I entered the dates within the custom fields when I added a new record within the Account Module; then I added the new contact for that record within the Contacts Module thinking that the dates would have automatically duplicated same date info in the Contacts Module. Instead I had to duplicate my efforts manually. Shouldn't the dates I entered within the custom date fields duplicate
problem with mail magnet on secondary account
I have the zoho account and a gmail account setup in zoho mail. Only the zoho account emails are showing up on mail magnet. How do I get my secondary gmail account mail to show up under mail magnet. I changed the default account to my gmail account but still only the zoho account emails are listed on the mail magnet tab. How do I change this??

Hi, I would like to know where should I record my suppliers. I understand the best is in leads, but I need to create a subcategory where I can recognize the kind of supplier easily and do actions to a group of them. For example, we are a tour agency, and hotels are my suppliers. I want to write a massive mail just to hotels to tell them how we expect new season to be. The total of the line items in my quote do not tally with the total that Zoho reflects As you can imagine this is SERIOUS as I have sent incorrect quotations to customers.
