How to test emaling feature in enterprise edition trial ?
HI, I am using free edition of zoho crm and I need to test emailing feature so that i activate enterprise trial period but the emailing feature doesn't work. It prompts me to use the non free edition. How can we test this feature? Regards, Fiatlux
New Custom fields not appearing
In the Quotation module - When creating new custom fields and saving with "Save and New" only the last field is visible when trying to edit the page layout. However it previous fields are attempted to be re-created Zoho gives a message "field already exists" even though the field is not visible on the edit screen layout screen as active or inactive
Inserting Page Breaks in Inventory Templates
Is it possible to insert Page Breaks in Inventory Templates for Quotations/Sales Orders or Invoices? This would be great if it could be put into the HTML code used to generate EXPORT TO PDF function. Any help greatly appreciated.
Web to lead validation
Web to lead is a great feature but we need a way to be able to validate the imput. ie they make email required and a valid email address etc ? Can this be done ?
Some Contacts are not Accounts...
Have you guys considered implementing a way to have contacts that are not "Accounts"? It would be great if we could have contacts that were linked by company, but could be separate from Accounts. Maybe it would make sense to add a "Companies" tab that would differentiate between contacts that were par of a company and contacts that are active customers. Anyone else have feedback on how this might best be accomplished? We are in the professional services business and half of my contacts are my competition,
Outlook Sync Events & Tasks
Why is it that in order for an activity created in Zoho CRM to sync to my Outlook, I have to be the activity owner? If someone else in my group creates an activity and invites me, why does it not sync to my Outlook? Is this a bug or is it supposed to do this? Thanks.
Need more / better automation
need to create rules based on events added to records and then do things such as schedule tasks, events, or automatically fire off emails. Zoho kinda has it; but how about this senario. Add a lead, then automatically fire off a "Welcome Packet". This would send an email to the lead with attachements, like a pdf. Then fire off tasks and events to sales people, such as call lead by this date. Again some of the rules are there but not enough.
Contact Address Details Copied to Bill To on Quotations
I have a customer which shall be an entirely B2C system. Therefore it is a requirement that when a quotation is generated for that contact that the Address Information is used for the Contact rather than the defauly where Zoho looks for Account address details. Is there a way to change this? Thanks

Off line functionality using Adobe AIR platform
The question of on/ off line functionality should be moot. Efforts are underway with Forefox 3 and more recently Adobe AIR that will allow web app to go offline. This on/off switch capability is not a luxury and hopefully Zoho CRM plans to have this in its not too distant road map. Thanks for your feedback on this point Michel
Users: Deactivate creator
I was put in charge of getting a CRM solution up and running for a company that I work for. Therefore, when I signed up to try ZOHO, I created myself as the first user. Since that time I have added several users to out account, including the CEO, some managers, and some sales reps. In the coming months, I will be leaving the company. Therefore, my user account will need to be deactivated. But, because I was the first to sign up, and add several users, my account cannot be deactivated. It isn't fair

Outlook sync - Vendors
is there a way to mark a contact in Outlook as a "vendor" so that when he gets uploaded into Zoho CRM instead of going in as a "contact" he goes in as a "vendor"? This is important because in a prior response you mentioned that there was no way to convert a "contact" to a "vendor" once in the CRM. Either solution would be nice. Thanks!
Outlook Calendar Sync Problem
When I try to sync my outlook calendar. I get the following message " This calendar is not in selected category". None of my calendar items have a category selected. If i select a category it will sync over. There must be a way to get this to work without having to open up all my appointments and assign a category in outlook. Please advise. thanks, dave
Migrating to Zoho - Linking Contacts to products
Hi there, I'm trying to figure out the best way to import historical data about contacts. The scenario being that contacts have purchased various products in the past and we wish to preserve that information in Zoho. What is the best way to do this? Is it possible to import Sales Order to create the link between those customers/contacts and products? How have other people approached this? It seems a shame that you are losing all of that data by moving to Zoho.

2 different autonumbering fields per category
hi, i want to add two different products auto numbering fields. dependent on the category - hardware or software. so when product is hardware, the software autonumbering field stays empty and visa versa. is this possible ?

Date Format for Creating Views
I am trying to create a view based on a date. I am not sure of the various operators available and would appreciate feedback. As an example, I want to show everything with a due date within seven days and overdue. The logic would be simple.... Show everything before 7 days from now that is open. So I would think the formula would be "Today +7d". However, I only get errors no matter how many variations I try. Can somebody please tell me the date formats? Problem - Web To Lead is having problems today
Noticed that web to lead is not functioning correctly today....People click the submit button, and then system hangs, and does not go to the 'return url' Getting mutliple leads becasue people keep clicking submit button. Please Check!
Macs and Document Issues
Hi, brand-spankin' new Zoho CRM user here... My partner is on a PC and I am on a Mac, and we're uploading our info and beginning our zoho experience. As we are testing the CRM functions, I'm concerned about a situation I encountered. I can see a Word attachment, but when I click on it to open, I get no response. Is this a Mac issue, a setting issue, etc.??? What's up? Has anyone encountered this and/or can anyone help us? Many thanks!
Invoices and payments
I would like to be able to create an invoice against a sale that includes only a partial payment. The invoices only let me invoice an entire product. For instance. I have a product sale of $500. I agree to have customer pay $200 now and make payments of $100 each month thereafter till paid. I want sales person to follow-up with new invoices as well. It would also be nice to have a payments section for invoices/sales. Thanks. William
Securing company client data
Hi! Is there a way to protect company client and leads data from its own employees? If we consider that all CRM users have permission to login into the system from their homes, they have plenty of time to use it in any way they please. Even if they do not have allowed export function. Any experiences in this community with that? Marko

Firefox 3 and Email signatures in ZOHO CRM
I recently upgraded to Firefox 3 - please note it caused my send mail signature in ZOHO CRM to scramble and not work correctly. After I downgraded back to Firefox 2 everything started working properly again. So if anyone experiences this problem Firefox 2 should repair it until Mozilla addresses the issue.
Dependent Field Mapping based on 2 criteria?
Is it possible to create a dependent field mapping (or 2 dependent field maps) that would allow for two variables to take place before the child field could be populated? Example: IF "X" AND "Y" then allow dropdown choices? If I have a task, and I have a dropdown box for type of task (call, email, letter), then I want to make the child field dependent on the parent field (call made, call left message, etc)...but I also want to make the child field dependent on the task being marked "Completed" So
Access Denied - Urgent Help Please
I am getting this error when logging in on several panels and a lot of the tabs have disappeared: Access denied. If you are the administrator, please update your profile settings. Otherwise contact your administrator to enable the access. I am an administrator and have checked all the profiles and permissions and all look ok. Nothing has changed I just logged in and now cant do anything. Sent an email to support but no response yet Any ideas?

We are wondering if anyone is using their webmail directly with crm, It seems logical that you could do it all online???? Example using Yahoo mail with our contact list.
Web to Lead enhancement status?
I have been unable to use Zoho CRM for a couple of clients because the Web to Lead function does not allow automatic capture of the Campaign Source. On one of my smaller clients we have come up with a manual workaround using a hidden custom field in the Web form. But even with a small number of leads it can be a real pain. Can you give us any idea when we might see that capability?
