Registration Approval

Registration Approval

Enable registration approval for tickets to know and review which attendees will take part in your event.



  1. Go to Registrations > Setup > Ticket Class from the dock.
  2. Enable the Registration Approval toggle button. Registration requests that are sent will now be displayed in the Registration Approval tab under Registrations > Overview.
 
Note: You can't disable the Registration Approval option when you have pending order requests to review in the Registration Approval tab under Registrations > Overview.

Approve registration requests  

Approve orders request for attendees that fit your event needs. Free orders will be confirmed automatically, and the attendee will be informed through email. For orders that require payment, an email will first be sent with the pending payment information. After the attendee has completed the payment, the order will be confirmed.


 
  1. Go to Registrations > Overview > Registration Approval from the dock.
  2. Order requests made by attendees through the event website will be displayed here.
  3. Click the Respond button for a request. The Order request details panel will display with the information of the attendee who placed the request and the ticket details.
  4. Click the Approve button.
    1. Free orders: The order request will be confirmed and moved to the Orders tab under the Registrations.
    2. Paid orders: The order request will be approved and will be listed in the Registration Approval tab. After the payment confirmation, it will be moved to the Order tab under the Registrations.
      Note: You can resend the order approval email, which includes the payment link, by clicking the dropdown menu for a paid order and selecting the Resend order approval email option

Deny registration requests

Deny order requests when you want to restrict someone from attending your event. Attendees whose order requests are denied will not be abled to request for another ticket to your event with the same email address.


 
  1. Go to Registrations > Overview > Registration Approval from the dock.
  2. Order requests made by attendees through the event website will be displayed here.
  3. Click the Respond button for a request. The Order request details panel will display.
  4. Click the Deny button. The Deny order request panel will display.
  5. Enter a reason for rejecting the order request. This reason will be recorded in Backstage and also emailed to the attendee.
  6. Click the Deny button. The order request will be marked as Denied in the Registration Approval tab.
    Note: Ensure that you select the All or Denied filter to view these requests.

Cancel registration requests

Cancel order requests to revoke a rejection given for an order request. Order requests that are canceled will enable the attendee to place another request for a ticket to your event with the same email address.


 
  1. Go to Registrations > Overview > Registration Approval from the dock.
  2. Order requests made by attendees through the event website will be displayed here.
  3. Click the arrow button for a request and select the Cancel order request option. The Cancel order request dialog box will display.
  4. Click the Cancel order request button. The order request will now be canceled.

Export registration requests

Get a digital copy of registrations requests that you've received for approval.



  1. Click the Export button in the Registration Approval tab. The Export registrations requests pop-up will be displayed.
  2. Select the Protect the file with a password checkbox if you want to secure the file when exported.
    1. Enter a unique password in the Password text box.
  3. Select the format in which you want to export the file in the Choose format section.
  4. Select the Include ePHI (Electronic protected health information) checkbox to export encrypted information collected through the form.
  5. Select the Include individual ticket information checkbox to export ticket information along with order information.
  6. Click the Export button. The file will be downloaded to your system.

Note: Only users with permissions can access encrypted fields
