Reassigning a message handler for a device model
You can change the custom function selected as a message handler for a device model.
Prerequisite: Message handler custom functions already created must have the same device model as the one you want to reassign.

To reassign a custom function,
- Access the Developer Application.
- Click Devices in the left pane.
- Click on the name of the device model for which you want to add the message handler. For this illustration, the device model DG Gateway is selected.
- Scroll down on the left pane of the device model's information page and select Message Handler.
- Click Edit.
- Hover over the associated custom function name.
- Click on the X icon that appears.
- Click Associate Custom Function.
- Select a custom function from the list and click Associate.
Note: You can also click Add New Custom Function to create a new custom function and associate it to the device model. - Click Save.
The selected/new custom function will become the message handler for the device model.
