What are lead stages?


Lead stages lets you group your contacts according to their engagement with your product and their inclination to convert. The stats related to lead stages is displayed in the Zoho Marketing Automation.
 
There are five default lead stages in Zoho Marketing Automation:
  1. Raw Leads: Raw leads are the ones who have just entered your organization. All contacts who enter your system will be added to this stage by default.
  2. Marketing Ready: These are contacts who start paying attention to you. You must nurture them with marketing campaigns and educate them more about you and your potential.
  3. Marketing Engaged: These are contacts who are being nurtured through your targeted marketing. These are people who have started engaging with your marketing programs and brand as a whole.
  4. Marketing Qualified: These are contacts who are nurtured through marketing activities. These contacts are qualified by the marketing team based on their level of engagement with the product. They can be handed over to the sales team to make them sales ready.
  5. Sales Ready: Contacts who are equipped by the sales team through calls, one-on -one meetings, product demos etc come under this stage. These contacts either convert or cross over.
