CRM Bug??
Hi - I have two issues going on in my CRM. 1st... somehow a user is being automatically created that is me....my name, my email and it causes alerts to come in each time that email address receives an email....which is often. 2nd and maybe related and maybe not. Today I added about 10 new leads. Uploaded from CRM card reader app. I have an email template that I updated and sent to the group. EXCEPT it came to me. Allowing Contacts to inherit Account address information
I'm wondering if I've just missed some functionality here, but I need contacts that are associated with an account to inherit the address information for the accounts they are associated with. I can't see any way to do this with the "Update Contacts" feature, but is there a workflow I could create and trigger for existing contacts and accounts? Appreciate any insight on solving this.
Account Number
I want to create an Account number convention as I add new "Accounts". Is there something that can be flagged to automate this process based on my initial entry? Why when I attempt to create one myself and populate the field as an A00001 which I want to increment I am getting an error that it is invalid. This should be my choice correct?
Managing SaaS clients accounts with lended products
Hello everyone, I new to zoho CRM and i´m trying to retire my spreeshets :D , hope someone can help me to clear out the best way possible do manage everything. Here´s my business model: We lend a tracking hardware which will send data from mobile assets (like truck fleet, machinery and etc) for our software which our client uses, so they can manage their logistics. We charge client as SaaS, with 2 years contract. So we have 2 types of inventories here: - Tracking hardware (bought from a manufacturer)
Automation doesnt work
Dear support, I set up an alert email to be sent when a task meets its due date. The automation seemed to work at first with a couple of test tasks but now it doesnt work with all the previous created tasks. The rule has already the criteria of "Execute workflow whenever the criteria is met" and " Executes the Workflow Rule when a new record is created OR an existing record is edited ." I already check and the rule seems to be active. There is no problem with the email template. Please help
Tag and search customers
Sorry that this is likely a very newbie question and not an advanced on at that. I am looking to be able to search for customers based on what product that own. Our business supplies networking products to enterprises and as such I need a way to be able to find customers based on what products they own, to communicate with them about new software releases and such. I use Xero for my quoting and invoicing currently also.
Products in Quote
Why is the way that products are selected in the Proposal Quote module so difficult to use. In other modules, you are presented with a list of products and you can just tick the ones you want to include. In the Proposal Quote section you have to start typing the name of the product and then add it. It is such a hassle. It would be nice if this could be changed or customized.
How to make report of PriceBook module in Zoho CRM
I am working on a project for which I have to make report for the customized PriceBook module. But when I go to select the module for report, pricebook is not being shows. Can someone please help me. Thanks in advance.
Why isn't the option of adding a Lookup field type displayed?
I am using the Standard version and wish to add a custom field of the type Lookup, but that and the type Formula are not even displayed to choose from. Can you explain why? I do not see anywhere in your literature that I would not be permitted to use them. Thanks, Dave

Shortcut to a favorite report
Hi All - I would like to create a shortcut to a report that we run very frequently on prospects. It would be extremely helpful to have a shortcut to this report from the contact's or accounts module page while in the prospect. I know there are no shortcuts to reports right now but is there a work around anyone could thing of. no "not delivered" message when email address bounces
I use Zoho CRM and use the link "Send mail" on the contacts page to send a mail (using one of my templates). But if the email address is incorrect, I do not get a "not delivered" message. This is very inconvenient. I assume the recipient receives it, but the receiver doesn't get anything. How can I solve this? Is there a setting to receive bounced messages? Thanks !
Italian translation errors
Hi! I'm a relatively new Zoho CRM user and I'm from Italy. I found some problems with the Italian translation. For example "Contact Roles" is translated in "Contatto Regole" (regole is the italian word for "rules") instead of "Ruolo Contatti". How can I correct this?
Mail cannot be sent as the email address does not exist
Created a new potential on an existing account. Went into the potential and assigned a contact role of a person with a valid email address. Clicked "Send Email" and received the popup error: "Mail cannot be sent as the email address does not exist" - What email address??? - The contact has a valid email address??
New Potential show under Unknown in Contacts
When creating a new Potential then looking at the contact module, the new potential shows under Unknown instead of the Potentials section for the contact. Going into the Accounts Module, the potential shows in the correct section.
Invite Zoho user to a event.

Time-based workflow for sending alert thru email
Hi, I started configuring our CRM account last September 14, 2015 and on that day we test the time-based action for workflow. Email from time-based action is received. Well done. We removed the workflow by the following days but the problem is it still sending emails continuously to the client even today. Based on the alert before removing a workflow, it says that "all the scheduled email will be deleted". Whats wrong with it? How can we stop this continuous email on our side? Is there any module

Maximum e mails
Using your trial version and trying the mailing facility. However, when I select the list, I get a popup saying exceeds maximum e mails and there is no option to cancel this and the screen freezes. Please suggest solution

Problem Adding User to CRM

The CEO is getting an email that states: Since you are already a part of SecuritiNet's CRM account and you are the only active user in that account, you will not be able to accept the invitation. Tracking Products through the sales process
OK, I am baffled by this one. Need help. In a Lead, I can associate products with the lead. I can convert the lead to a potential and have the products associated with the lead carry over. I can also just create a potential and associate products with it. When I was to produce a quote for the potential, why can I not (or how do I) carry the products associated with the potential into the quote?

Deleting Contacts best practice
hi there, I'm wondering what methods users have adopted to managed 'old contacts' It is probable that Contacts will degrade overtime (people change roles at clients/ opportunities lost). So what does everyone do with these? We have a method for deleting/removing suspects. However the rich history often associated with a Contact requires a different approach. I was thinking to create a picklist on 'Status' that included 'Dormant Contact' / These can be filtered out of reports/views but not deleted.
Why do you offer an "edit" option in Contacts: List of Fields when it is really not possible to edit the field name?

I just made a custom field, but I want to edit it again; For example I want to change the name. Can I do this?Or do I need to drag and drop it in the 'deleted'fields and make a totally new one? Invited users cannot confirm their accounts
I have a problem with my new CRM users: I cannot make them accept the invitation. This is how I tried: Add new user - I enter name, email and role. Invitation is sent to the new user. She clicks the link on the email. CRM says: AAA has invited you to join XXX's CRM account. Since you are already part of a CRM account and you are the only active user in that account, you will not be able to accept the invitation.
