Terms and Conditions Field | Zoho Forms - User Guide

Terms and Conditions Field

Whenever you collect users' data via forms on your websites, blogs, or e-commercials, it is recommended that you have your user's consent before you share their data to avoid any legal disputes, privacy concerns, or security risks.
To allow users to agree or disagree to your terms and conditions, use the Terms and Conditions field in Zoho Forms. The terms can be a policy, disclaimer, warranty, ownership, privacy, copyright protection etc. It is not a legal requisite, but it acts as an agreement between you and the users to let them know your rights and limitations, as well as their own.
You can also configure conditional rules using this field to trigger certain actions based on the respondent's status of agreement to the terms and conditions.

To have users consent,
  1. Add the Terms and Conditions field from the Advanced Fields to your form.

  2. Under Properties, you can change the default Field Label as required.

Status of Consent

You can choose to keep the field as Mandatory.
It is recommended have the necessary consent before the respondents submit an entry by keeping the Terms and Conditions field as mandatory.
The total character limit of the Terms & Conditions field, including the text formatting applied, is 70000, which means that any customization applied to the content (bold, italic, spacing, etc.) will also be considered characters. If you have copied text from an external source/website and pasted it into the text section of the field, some formatting may get copied over and will be taken as characters as well.
