Zoho Projects: Quarterly Updates | Q1 2022

We would like to share the quarterly updates for the period January to March.

User Hierarchy:

Users can enable Hierarchy settings to maintain a tree structure based on user roles. You can assign reporting managers and approve Timesheets based on the reporting hierarchy. Users can also view the details of their direct reports.

Timesheet:

You can now view the Timesheet's Day, Week, and the Month time frames in a Grid View . You can also export this data with filters applied. If a criteria is not filtered, the entire data set will be exported.

Custom Function for Tasks:

You can now create Custom Functions for Tasks under Developer Space. Write a function using Deluge and execute it to automate the workflow of your tasks. These functions can be called from one or more task workflow rules and blueprint. Click here to learn how to create a custom function.

Status mapping in task import:

While importing a task in the form of a XLS/XLSX, MPP/MPX, CSV, or a JSON file, you can map the task status of the import file with a status in the layout. If a matching status is found, it will be mapped by default. Learn more about Task Import.

Status Timeline in Task/Issue Details Page:

The task and Issue updates can be visually tracked from the details page. Users can also see when and who updated the status. Learn more about the Status Timeline.

Manage Permission for Comments:

Posting comments under a task, a milestone, or any other module is an important way to collaborate with your team members. You can now set permissions in Zoho Projects to have more control over the module's comment section.

Edit Pick List:

User can now edit or delete single and multi-select pick-list values from the Pick List Field Properties form. Click here to learn more about Pick List.

Primary Profile and Role:

You can set any Profile and Role as default based on your requirement. This Profile or Role will be selected by default when a new user is added to the portal. The default Admin and Client profiles cannot be edited or deleted. You can however, clone these profiles and then edit them. Learn more about Profiles and Roles.
