Hello everyone,
In this post, we will take a look at three feature enhancements that we recently had in Zoho CRM.
View CRM user's role and profile in Zoho Projects
While creating or associating projects in CRM you can view what role and profile a CRM user holds in Zoho Projects. You can either proceed with allotting the project to the user or change their role or profile based on the requirement of the project.
For example, Smith Jones's role in Zoho Projects is Trainee Sales Rep and his profile permission does not allow him to edit or create records. Since, a sales rep's profile allows creating and editing records, while associating a project Smith's profile must be changed to Sales rep. Also, Smith's profile in Zoho Projects will be updated to Sales rep.

Upload a file to a record using the File Upload field
A regular day-to-day business transaction requires you to deal with several types of documents like financial transactions, service level agreements, etc. that are usually specific to a client. It is thus best to add such documents right within the record. Like any other custom field you can add a file upload field to a module and start uploading the documents to the records. We let you add up to 5 file upload fields per module and the total permissible file size is 20MB.
In addition to this, if GDPR Compliance is enabled in your CRM account, you can mark if the field's value contains personal data (in this case, its documents).

Integrating CRM Events with Zoho Meetings
Meeting solution providers or web conferencing softwares provide an option to conduct virtual meetings that reduces the cost and most importantly saves time. In Zoho CRM, you can integrate your CRM account with Zoho Meeting, a web conferencing solution that will allow you to conduct events or meetings right from your CRM account. Also, you will be able to view the number of attendees and the recording of your event in the respective CRM record. Once the integration is set up the host has to perform the following tasks:
1. Add participants to the meeting from either of the below mentioned places:
- While creating an event form the Activities module.
- While creating an event from the calendar in CRM.
- From the record's details page.
2. Include the meeting URL along with the invitation while creating the event in CRM. The participants will be able to join the event by clicking on the same. In case the URL is not included, the attendees can be invited after the meeting starts.
3. Record the event using any of the audio preference methods. There are two audio preference options: selecting the built-in method or choosing host's own conferencing call service.
4. Start the meeting by clicking on the Start Meeting button that appears 15 minutes prior to the actual commencement of the meeting/event. Alternately, a meeting can be started from the activity reminders pop-up.
