Existing Contacts Through Website Form Importing to CRM

Hello,

I have a form on my website that when filled out imports to Leads, and then I can convert to Contact.

Each one of my records could have a project, with project details.

What is Zoho's best practice for efficiently handling an existing Contact who inquires through the website again? I have a plugin on my website that will update based off email, but because their original record is a contact, they are not in the leads and they import fine.

Now I have a duplicated lead and contact but with different projects, when I convert the lead, I can merge, but Zoho does not merge fields that are already filled, meaning the 2nd record project details when converted will be gone and the original contact will still have the original project.

My only option here is to duplicate the record, but of course this is bad practice.

I've thought about - does Zoho have an array field where I can have an array of projects associated with 1 contact?

TL:DR How can I effectively manage a record from the deals/contact module who may have more than 1 project, but aren't necessarily deals yet?
