PMI Hyderabad

Zoho Projects and Zoho Sprints were showcased at the PMI Pearl City, Hyderabad Chapter. Attendees were notably impressed by the seamless integration across Zoho applications and the cost-effectiveness of the ecosystem. The event was a valuable opportunity to engage with professionals, understand their challenges, and exchange ideas on the evolving needs of project teams.

Zoho Projects Industrial Workshop for Partners in India

We hosted a partner workshop titled: ‘Beyond Projects: Build Industry Solutions with Zoho Projects’, on 27 August 2026 which drew 100+ registrations. We showcased how Zoho Projects can be shaped into industry-ready solutions across Manufacturing, BFSI, IT/ITES, Construction, and Retail/E-commerce using Custom Modules, Custom Reports, Custom Dashboards, Automation, and AI. We received an overwhelming response for our customisation capabilities.

PMO Leadership Symposium 2026

The 10th PMO Leadership Symposium was held at Brisbane, Australia on 3 September 2026, sponsored by Zoho Projects. It brought together 50+ PMO leaders and project delivery professionals discussing around the theme ‘transforming strategic insights into meaningful business outcomes’. The shared experiences and practical insights brought forward valuable networking.

BEX Asia 2026 - Singapore

BEX Asia 2026, the Built Environment Exhibition, brings together people and organizations involved in designing, building, operating, and maintaining buildings and infrastructure. The event was held in Singapore this year from September 2nd to 4th. We had set up a prominent booth for Zoho Projects where we received 300+ visitors for live demos and one-on-one conversations. The engagement was energetic with productive insights as takeaways.

Switching project management styles

Key releases

Zoho Projects had several new updates:

Codex Scripts are now available for Time Logs, where users can add advanced conditional logic scripts and control how and when time logs can be created, updated, blocked or transitioned.
Layout Rules are now available in Phase and Custom Module forms, where predefined conditions can be applied to display or hide fields, ensuring that data relevant to the conditions specified is collected accurately.
Zia, our in-house AI tool, provides suggestions for Weekly Time Logs based on tasks assigned and work hours added previously.
Time Log Grid View records your team's logged hours against tasks and issues in a unified, interactive grid, making patterns visible and time entry quicker.

Here’s a roundup of new releases in Zoho Sprints:

Related Lists incorporate related records from any module, entity, or external source directly into the detail view of a sprint, release, epic, project, or other supported modules. Related list helps weave the contextual cross-module data into relevant modules.
Customize detail view layout helps users customize tabs that are displayed in the detail view layout of individual modules. You can also create or associate related lists in the detail view layouts.
Layout Rules for Objectives and Key Results help add validation checks and apply conditions to the data entered in the layout of OKRs.
Zoho Digital Adoption Platform (DAP) in Zoho Sprints onboards your employees to Zoho Sprints easily with in-product banners, walkthroughs, and help videos created using Zoho DAP.
Test Run in Test Management allows adding test cases from a Project, Test Suite, or Existing Test Run to include only the required test cases to the Test Run. Also try Rerun, to carry out another round of testing for a set of test cases.

Auto-update project end date when a task is rescheduled

We received a request where the customer wanted to update the project end date to match the task when tasks get rescheduled or delayed due to dependencies. Click on the title to know how we used Task Custom Functions and Workflow Rules in Zoho Projects to automate this requirement.

Auto-create projects from custom module approvals

We received an interesting requirement where the customer wanted a project to be created automatically whenever a proposal was approved. We proposed a custom module to be created, after which a custom function is configured to create the project, followed by a workflow rule to trigger the custom function when the proposal gets approved.
