Hi There,
We've been taking full advantage of the parallel transitions feature released last year. For things like design approval it's been an incredibly helpful feature to be able to have multiple people each review and sign-off on something at the same time before the task moves to the next stage. It has sped up our workflow and increased accuracy, all good stuff!
After using the parallel transitions for a while, I think there is a missing feature that would be very helpful. Right now, we can trigger "During" and "After" actions that happen for each individual parallel transition. But there is no option to trigger additional overall "After" actions once the parallel transition has completed by the individuals. The task simply moves to the next status.
In our scenario, when a task is in the parallel transition, it is owned by upwards of four people. But, once the parallel transition has been completed by the four people we would like some final actions to be triggered such as changing the task owner back to only our project manager, and updating the due date, and triggering an email alert.
I accomplish this now by using a workflow rule that does all of these things once the task gets to the status that is after the parallel transition, but it would be more intuitive if this was all handled in the blueprint design.
Thanks for considering
Brendan
