Dialing from VoIP phones
Is there some way to dial numbers using a sip based VoIP soft-phone? I use Siptapi software that should be able to call any TAPI number. When I click on a number link in Zoho CRM it opens up the dialler interface but does not start dialling the number.

Reclaiming storage space from deactivated users
I noticed that some of our storage space is "used" by users who are no longer active. How can I get to their account and delete the files so that I can reclaim that space for active users?
Form-to-Contacts field order
Is there any way to control what order the selected fields for the form are presented in the final form. You can only check the boxes if the fields you want but I do not see a way to dictate what order they show up on the form. Thanks, Craig
Add "Letter" capability to "Send Mail" B
Would it be possible to edit the "Send Mail" button to include the ability to send a standard letter from a template? Being that I only have one monitor, as it is I have to go into Zoho CRM, print out the contact information, then type that information back into MS Word to address a letter. It would be even better if that capability were even expanded upon to somehow be able to print multiple letters via mail merge. It isn't really useful for keeping track of what the Next Step should be since you can't set a date it needs to be completed by, assign it to a user, get reminders, and mark it as complete. I'd like to create a field for my clients Twitter name. Usually that name is something like this without the @ sign: @TwitterName What I'd like to do, is set up the field so that all I have to do is enter their twitter "TwitterName", and have ZohoCRM insert the rest of the link hidden, so that when I view the record and click on the name, it goes to http://www.twitter.com/TwitterName How can I do that? Is it a formula?

Contacts and CRM
I've been trying to get started with Zoho CRM, and I has a question: I understand the need to have separate Zoho Contacts and Zoho CRM Contact applications, but why aren't they better integrated? Shouldn't the CRM contacts show up as a separate group within the Contacts, and shouldn't we be able to share contacts from Zoho Contacts into CRM Contacts? Mike
How can I send template emails to a different recipient (than the record the data is coming from)?
Say I make a nifty template email to pull all the data I need from John Doe's contact record in CRM. I would like this data to be sent to Bill Smith (not John Doe). So far, I have to manually change the recipient email address before hitting send. Surely there is a more elegant option (otherwise will get occasional screw-ups). Mail Merge Needed Badly
It just seem ridiculous that we have no way of creating documents other than e-mail templates. Either give use the ability to mail merge out to word. Or better yet integrate Zohowriter or Goog Docs into the product so that we can create a packing list, work order...whatever.

Maximum amount of characters in composing mail
When trying to send a large mail, a pop up appears with the message that there are only 32.000 characters allowed in the mail content. This is often not sufficient. It seems that using another template will not help as a character limitation of 32k is indicated. How can I overcome this?

Practical Workflow Definitions
In most professional methods a Workflow is beginning process to end, with variables of IF and THEN and WHEN. For example: IF (a) is triggered, THEN (b) task, WHEN 7 days, THEN (c) is triggered, IF (d) field is (variable), THEN (e). All this is ONE professional workflow. But in zoho this is divided into 5 workflows. Why does the Workflow in Zoho stop after one Task or Alert, then require to make another 'workflow' to follow it? Then zoho limits Workflows to 10 workflows. Doesn't make much sense.
Exporting Contacts Corrupts Chinese Fonts
Hi, I have a custom Name field in CRM, which captures the Chinese Name of my customer. When I export this to CSV, the text becomes strange garbled characters, instead of the Chinese characters. How can I resolve this problem? or get the export to show me my Chinese names? Thanks, RIch

Is there any way to send an email from the CRM (either directly from a contact or via an email template) with the "From" address as an email address other than any primary email address of the CRM users? For example, can I send an email from the address support@mycompany.com even though that's not the primary address of any of our CRM users?

I went to enter the Knowledge Base in the Help section and got a warning that the authentication is misrepresented and poses a risk. Hi everyone, At the moment I am doing some research into how I best use CRM and email within my new business. I am currently looking into using a hosted exchange service which will provide me with 'push' email, calendar, contact sync to my iphone which is important. I understand Zoho CRM works over a mobile browser but what I wanted to know is how well integrated it would be with sending out notification emails to my domain name and can I sync the built in CRM calendar&contacts with my exchange calendar&contacts?

Predictive Typing?
I know this must have been mentioned in a previous thread, but it would be really helpful to have predictive typing added in field entries, including Look Up fields. Example: In City field, when I type LO, a sub menu should appear that says, Los Angeles. May be this could be based on my historical entries. Allow Emails to Generate from within CRM from the TASK alert.
I created a task alert to notify that a email needs to be sent to a Lead. That email address shows up in the Task alert fine, but it only allows me to click the email, thus sending me to my email client, and not creating an Email within CRM, so it can be recorded. In order for me to record the email, I have to click the contact to get out of Tasks, then click Email on the Leads contact, and then click Activites > Tasks, to go back to my tasks to do the whole thing over again with another Lead. How do you create a pick list field that auto fills another field?
I am new to this and am trying to do a form in zoho by remaking the purchase order form to be a shipping form. Basically I want to send shipping information from an account to a shipper for them to pickup and ship my items. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to set up an "auto fill" feature in this form. Please help.
Change the "From" Email name, not email address when sending emails from CRM
When I send an email to a lead from the CRM, it is using the correct email address, but it is also using my name (i.e, my first and last name from my Zoho CRM account). I want it to use my company's name instead. So, instead of John Doe <john.doe@johnscompany.com> I want it to be Company Name <john.doe@johnscompany.com>. How do I do this?

Hi Zoho CRM team, I have been testing the Zoho CRM system compared to the Salesforce, I like what I see, however I found that the charts within the dashboard are a letting the system down slightly, such as the types of charts, for instance I notice that there is no Gauge Chart, which is quite valuable to see how your business is doing compared to a target you have set. Mail merge contradicts Zoho mission
Zoho is supposed to be accessible from anywhere. I'm supposed to be enabled by it's ease-of-use as a 21st century entrpreneur. But the new mail merge feature tied into MS-Word is a nightmare. I'm up at work trying to do a merge and it's asking me to download a plug-in. Fine, did that, but now my computer needs the Active X control enabled, and I don't have such admin privileges to enable this. How Can I trigger an event reminder once a check mark is clicked?
I was wondering if it would be possible that after a user clicks a checkmark or a button of some sort the crm will then start a timer where in 2 days time if another specific checkmark/button has not been clicked it will issue a reminder via email. It will keep checking to see if that chckmark/button is clicked/checked every 2 days until someone clicks/checks off the button/checkbox. is this possible?

I have Professional edition that theoretically allows me to import 10000 records in one CSV file. In fact its import about +- 2000 records and send error e-mail. I reported problem by e-mail (see attached e-mails). After 2 days of waiting I called support and they redirected me to somebody more expierienced in data migration. So how about doing a little collaborative excercise? We invite all those who are interested, to take part in designing an icon for "Quotes" / "Quotations". Currently the icon we use for "Quotes" is - a couple of papers printed with a "$" symbol . But for those who do not deal with "$" currency, this may not seem fit. So we are proposing a design change in that icon, that is understood by most of the users. When does a Quote is raised? When the seller was asked to give a formal price quote for a product.

Cannot save changes to a contact.
I am having problems associating a contact with an account. I opened the contact, chose to edit the account field, and looked up the account name in the pop-up window without any problems. But when I click save, the system becomes non-responsive, and the changes are not saved to the record. Auto number - strange format in my report
Hi I am having trouble displaying the correct format of an Auto Number field that I have in my Leads module when I generate a report on that data. In the View the field format is correct, however when I create a Report over that data, the field format is very different. This field is called 'Identifier' and it is an Auto Number field sequentially increasing in value, with a prefix on the front. So the number correctly appears as follows in the view: "ID-1234".
