If you've received an account confirmation email or a password reset email from Zoho that wasn't initiated by you using your email address, it could be due to someone mistakenly entering your email address.
This might happen if your email address closely resembles theirs or if they mistype their email address.
What to do if you receive this email
If you are sure that you didn't initiate the account creation process, you can click remove your email address from the email, and you'll be provided with one of the following options to remove your email address based on specific conditions.
Close account
If the created account doesn't have any other verified email address or mobile number associated with it, you'll be required to close the account in order to remove your email address.
Remove email address
If the created account has any other verified email address or mobile number associated with it, you'll be given the option to remove your email address from that account.
Steps to close the account
Once you click remove your email address, you'll be taken to this page (refer to the screenshot below), If the account doesn't have any other verified email address or mobile number.
Please read the terms of service and policies, and agree to them.
Click Send OTP.
You'll receive an OTP in the respective email address; enter that OTP to verify.
Click Verify, and now the account will be closed.
Steps to Remove your email address from the account
Once you click remove your email address, you'll be taken to this page (refer the screenshot below), If the account has any other verified email address or mobile number.
- Please read the terms of service and policies and agree to them.
- Click Send OTP.
- You'll receive an OTP in the respective email address, enter that OTP to verify.
- Click Verify, now your email address will be removed from that account.
