Communicating with customers through iPhone

Make and log calls    

You can call the records (e.g. Leads, Contacts) and also log the outgoing call details in CRM. In order to log the call information, you will have to enable Call Logging in Zoho CRM App settings.

Make Calls   

You can call your customers directly from their records in Zoho CRM. You can also log the call for future reference.

To make a call

  1. Go to the module (e.g., Leads, Accounts, Contacts).
  2. Tap a record you want to call.
  3. Tap the icon on the Record Information page.
  4. Tap the phone number to call the contact.
  5. When the call is completed, you can log the call and it will be available in the Calls module

Log Calls    

It is important to track the conversations that you have with your leads and contacts. When you log a call in to CRM, you are creating a written record of that call for future reference.
Note: Only outgoing calls can be logged. Incoming calls cannot be logged on the iOS version due to technical restrictions on Apple's end.To log a call, you need to enable the relevant options in your Zoho CRM app settings.
  1. Launch Zoho CRM on your iPhone.
  2. Tap the More icon in your Zoho CRM app.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. In the Calls section, enable the following options
  5. Outgoing Call: Enabling this option permits the app to pull in the phone number from the record to initiate the call.
  6. Place Calls Using: Select the app with which you would like to place a call.
  7. Call Logging: Enabling this option permits you to log calls.
  8. Auto Call Log: Enabling this option will log calls automatically.
  9. Log Prompt: Enabling this option will prompt you to log a call when it ends.

To log an outgoing call

  1. Place a call.
  2. Once the call is completed, you will either receive a prompt to log the call or the call will get logged automatically, based on the configuration you have set in the calls settings on the app.
  3. If you had enabled Log prompt, tap Yes to log the call.
  4. Enter the necessary details in the Call Information page and tap Save.


To schedule a call

  1. Go to the module (Leads, Accounts, Contacts, etc.)
    You can also go to the Calls module to add the call details and choose the record to associate the call with.
  2. Select the record you want to schedule a call for.
  3. Tap the Add icon next to Calls in the record's Related section.
  4. Tap Type, then Schedule call in the Call Information page.
  5. Specify the required data and tap Save.
     

Send SMS

You can send SMS messages to your leads, accounts, and contacts if you have their contact number saved in CRM. 

To send SMS messages

  1. Tap the Leads, Accounts, or Contacts module in your Zoho CRM app.
  2. Select the record you want to send an SMS to.
  3. Tap the More icon.
  4. Tap Send text message to compose and send your message.

Send Email

You can send emails to your leads and contacts if you have their email address saved in CRM.

To send an email

  1. Go to the module (e.g., Leads, Contacts).
  2. Tap a record you want to send an email to.
  3. Tap the Emails icon in the Record Information page.
  4. Select the application that you want to use to send the email.
  5. Compose and send your email.
