In the Zoho CRM iOS app, you can now assign specific roles to the contacts involved in a deal, making it easier to manage your sales process.
When you're managing a deal, there may be several key people from the prospective company involved- like decision-makers, financial managers, or product managers. By assigning roles to these contacts, you can ensure that you contact the right person for the right discussion.
For example, if one contact handles financial decisions, you can assign them the role of "Economic Decision Maker." This way, any financial discussions will go directly to them.
How it works in Zoho CRM iOS app
Creating and assigning roles:
Easily assign specific roles to contacts involved in a deal for better collaboration.
To create and assign a role
- Open the deal and go to Contact Roles in the related list.
- Tap the Plus icon ().
- Tap on the contact name field.
- For an existing contact: Select a contact > choose a role > save.
- For a new contact: Tap > add details > save > assign a role > Save.
Updating roles
If a contact's role changes, you can easily update it directly from the deal's related list.
To update a role
- Open the deal and go to Contact Roles in the related list.
- Tap the More icon ()
- Select Edit Contact role.
- Choose the new role
- Tap Save.
Unassigning roles
If a contact is no longer part of the deal, you can unassign their role from the same section.
To unassign a role
- Open the deal and go to the Contact Roles from the related list.
- Tap the More icon ()
- Select Unassign.
Alternatively, tap the Edit icon (
) and then the Unassign icon (
).
