This feature is being released in a phased manner for all DCs. We will keep you updated with more information about releases in respective DCs.
The activities home page component aims to show a consolidated view of all activities such as tasks, meetings, calls, and appointments in your account. You can view this component on the Classic View home page of your account, as shown in the screenshot below.
What can you view in this component?
You can view information about all your activities based on a selected timeline filter, along with 'overdue activities' or 'all-day meetings and tasks'. This component lists:
- Date and time for each activity
- Activity information
- Record the activity is related to
- Preferences to customize the component
This component lets you choose to view activities associated to your account over different timelines, as listed below:
- My open activities for today
- My open activities for this week
- My open activities for next week
- My open activities for the next 7 days
Decide how you want to view activities on the home page
You can choose to filter how you want to view your activities, overdue activities, and all-day meetings and tasks by clicking the Preference icon in the top-right corner of the component.
In the preference pop-up, you can choose to
- Hide / Show all overdue activities.
- Show all overdue activities at the bottom / top
- Show all-day meetings and tasks at the bottom / top
Note : Overdue activities will always be displayed on top by default.
You can customize what information you want to be displayed for your activities in the component in the Preference section under Manage Fields.
To customize activity fields :
- Click Preference in the top-right corner of the component.
- Under Manage Fields, select which activity's information you want to customize, such as Tasks, Calls, Meetings, or Appointments.
- In the Column Field Customization pop-up, if you select Calls : Subject, Related To, and Call Start time will be displayed by default. Select what other fields need to be displayed in the component and click Save.
- In the Column Field Customization pop-up, if you select Meetings : Title, From, To, Related To, and Contact Name will be displayed by default. Select what other fields need to be displayed in the component and click Save.
- In the Column Field Customization pop-up, if you select Tasks : Due Date, Subject, Related To, and Contact Name will be displayed by default. Select what other fields need to be displayed in the component and click Save.
- In the Column Field Customization pop-up, if you select Appointments : Appointment Name, Appointment For, and Appointment Start Time will be displayed by default. Select what other fields need to be displayed in the component, then click Save.
- You can also reorder the columns by dragging and dropping them in the desired locations.
