Understanding Privacy and Security Settings in Radar
Data Privacy is a customer's right to control how their data or information is viewed and used by any business. Security is protecting that information from theft and misuse. They are both equally important in today's digital landscape, where hackers have become highly sophisticated and incidents like data theft and security attacks have become commonplace. To help customers safeguard their personal information, applications provide an array of privacy and security settings. The Radar app comes with robust privacy and security settings. Its goal is to help you shield personal information and customer data from security breaches, unauthorized access, and cyber attacks.
Overview of privacy and security settings
App lock
Radar lets you set up a biometric or numeric password for the app to protect from unauthorized access. You can use your fingerprint or a 4 digit pin to unlock the app. The app lock feature can add a layer of security to your app. When you accidentally leave your device unlocked or when someone else gains access to it, the app lock will ensure your customer data stays safe.
You will be signed out after 6 failed attempts to unlock the app.
By default, the Radar app will be locked immediately after you close it. You can use the Ask for Pin option to change this behavior. Using this option, you can specify the duration for after which the app should be locked once your leave or close the app. You can choose to lock the app after 1, 5, or 10 minutes after you leave or close it.

Push Notifications
Push notifications are short messages that are sent from the app to users. They can be viewed from the lock screen even when the app is not in use. Radar sends push notifications regarding exceptions, and app and security updates.

Send Diagnostic and Usage Statistics
Crash reports and usage statistics can help improve user experience with the app. You can choose if you want to send crash reports to us and if this information must be sent anonymously or with your identity.
Do Not Allow Text Copy
By default, you can copy text from the Radar app to your device's clipboard. Because this can lead to data breaches, Radar allows users to disable text copying altogether using the Do Not Allow Text Copy option.
Hide Content in Recent Apps Screen
Even with app lock set up, your app content will be visible in the recent apps screen. You can prevent critical data from getting exposed in this way by enabling the Hide Content in Recent Apps Screen option.
Do not allow screenshots and Screen Recording
One way in which your data can be exposed is via accidental screen shots and screen recording. In Radar, you can disable these two using the Do Not Allow Screenshots and Screen Recording option.
Open Source Licenses
Using this option, you can view all the third-party plugins that are used in the app to identify undesirable ones.
- Open the Radar app.
- Tap the setup icon in the bottom bar.
- Tap on Privacy and Security settings.
- Enable/Disable the options as per your preference.
