Deleting an asset

An asset can be deleted from the end application.
All asset operations require necessary permissions. Refer user profiles document for more details.
Asset Dependencies: When an asset is related to other instances, such as assets or devices, through a lookup field, it becomes a dependency for those instances. To delete this asset instance, you must first resolve these dependencies by removing the asset from the related instances. Only after these dependencies are addressed can the asset instance be removed.

To delete an asset,
  1. Access the End Application.
  2. Select Assets in the left pane. This opens the asset list view page.
  3. Select the box near the asset name you want to edit and click the Delete button that appears. For this illustration, asset: Diesel Generator 1001 is considered.



  4. Click Check Dependencies in the Delete Validation popup.



  5. Click Delete in the Delete Asset popup.

The asset model will now be removed from the application.
