Deleting an asset model

Deleting an asset model

An asset model can be deleted from the application.
All asset operations require necessary permissions. Refer user Profiles document for more details.
Asset Model Dependencies: When an asset is created based on a specific asset model, that asset model becomes a dependency for the asset instance. Consequently, the asset model cannot be removed while any asset instances based on it still exist. Users must delete all asset instances associated with the asset model before they can delete the asset model itself.

To delete an asset model,
  1. Access the Developer Application.
  2. Select Assets in the left pane.
  3. Hover over the Asset model you want to delete and click the ellipsis (...) icon that appears. For this illustration, the asset model: Diesel Generator is considered.

  4. Select Delete from the context menu.

  5. Click Check Dependencies in the Delete Validation popup.

  6. Click Delete in the Delete Asset popup.
The asset model will now be removed from the application.
