After an Asset is added to the application, you can edit it to change some of the details, such as Name, Description, Connected Gateway, Located at, etc.

All asset operations require necessary permissions. Refer User Profiles document for more details.

1. Access the End Application.
2. Select Assets in the left pane. This will open the device list view.
3. Select the box adjacent to the asset name you want to edit and click the Edit button that appears. This opens the edit asset instance form. For this illustration, asset: Diesel Generator 1001 is considered.
   
   
   
   
4. Make the necessary changes. For this illustration, the description for the asset is changed.
   
   

5. Click Update.
   

Bulk Update and Delete

To perform Bulk Update,

1. Select the checkboxes against the assets that you want to update.
   
2. Click the Bulk Update button on the top.
   
   
   
   
3. Select the property which you want to update, and provide the value.
   
   
   
   
   
4. Click Bulk Update to update the value for all the selected assets.
   
   

To perform Bulk Delete,

1. Select the checkboxes against the assets that you want to delete.
   
2. Click the Delete button on the top. The check dependency screens are displayed.
    If there are no dependencies for the assets the delete confirmation screen is displayed.
3. Click Delete in the confirmation screen. The assets will be deleted.
