Editing a command template
A Command template can be edited only in the developer application, and modifications are limited to the parsing key and c
ommand status.
All Command operations require necessary permissions. Refer User Profiles document for more details.To edit a command template,
- Access the Developer Application.
- Select Asset or Devices or Location in the left pane based on the model to which you want to import the datapoint template. For this illustration, Device is selected.
- Click the name of the model you want to add the Command Template to. For this illustration, the device model Smart Equipment is considered.
- Select Commands in the left pane. This will open the command templates list view.
- Check the box near the name of the command template you want to edit and click the Edit button that appears. For this illustration, the command template Smart Device ON/OFF is selected.
- Make the necessary changes. For this illustration, the parsing key is changed to "power_status."
- Click Update.
The new parsing key will be updated to the command template and reflected across all the commands in instances created from the selected model.
