Executing a command in the end application
Once a command is created, it can be executed. Upon execution, the command payload will be sent to the connected device or resource.
Note: The asset or location configured with the command must be linked to a device through the connected gateway field, and the real-world device must be connected to the Zoho IOT application using the device's credentials. Only then can the payload be sent to the real-world device.To execute a command,
Access the End Application.
Select Devices > Devices in the left pane.You can select Assets to execute a command from an asset or Location to execute a command from a location.
Click on the name of the device you have added the command to. This will open the device's information page.
Click on Actions > Command Configuration. This opens the Command list view.
Check the box near the name of the command you want to execute and click the Execute button that appears.For this illustration, the command: Fan Speed is selected.
Select the required value in the command, and click Execute. For this illustration, the fan speed is set at value 8 and executed.
Click Execute in the execution confirmation popup.
The command will now be executed.

The command will be executed only when the gateway is in a connected state.
You can view previously executed commands and their status by clicking the Execution History button that appears when the command is selected.
