What is a bounce in Email Campaign?
Bounces occur when sent emails cannot be delivered. Typically, the email server will send you an error message detailing the reason for a bounce. Bounces come in two categories: hard and soft bounces. A soft bounce is just a temporary delivery failure; the email should get delivered in the next few retries. Even after that if the email does not get delivered, a hard bounce will occur. A hard bounce means there is a permanent reason for the delivery failure. To avoid bounces:
- Use the double opt-in subscription method when adding subscribers to your list.
- Send emails to your clients periodically, keeping your list clean.
- Track your email delivery and make any necessary changes to your mailing list immediately.
- Authenticate your sender domain
