Once a domain is deleted, the custom email addresses and group aliases associated with the domain will no longer receive emails. Before deleting a domain, make sure there are no necessary mailboxes left associated with it. Also, it will be deleted from all the associated services across your organization, wherever it is synced, thereby barring access to the associated app with that domain.
Sender email addresses may not be automatically deleted in some services (e.g., Zoho Assist, Zoho Analytics) even after the domain is. Because each service may have its own validation, and also, the domain might be tied to certain recurrent notifications and automated reports. In these cases, you are required to follow the deletion or clean-up instructions specific to each service to remove such email addresses fully.
Also, a few other services like Zoho Campaigns and Zoho Marketing Automation restrict domain deletion from Zoho One. This means that you need to delete the domain directly from the service side first before in Zoho One.

Conflict Scenarios

  1. Domains still in use in services: Remove it from those services first and then try deleting it.
  2. Undeleted sender emails: In services where deletion is not extended by default, delete the sender emails manually.
