Managing Clients

Who are Clients?
Clients are customers for whom Jobs are done. Projects are associated with Clients and Jobs are done on Projects for Clients.
If an organization wants to track time for work done for their clients, adding clients and associating them to the relevant jobs and projects is important.

Managing Clients

To add, view, and manage clients, navigate to Operations > Timesheet > Clients tab. To add a new client click on Add Client.


Adding Clients

On clicking Add Client, you will be required to fill in all the information about the client. The most crucial aspect is the "Billing Method".
If you select Hourly Job Rate: The bill will be generated based on the rate per hour that you define in Job.
If you select Hourly User Rate - Jobs: The bill will be generated based on the rate per hour you define for each assignee in Job.
If you select Hourly User Rate - Projects: The bill will be generated based on the rate per hour that you define for each Project User in Project. 
If you select Hourly User Rate: The bill will be generated based on the rate you define for the user under Payroll settings.


Importing and Exporting Clients

To import clients, click on the ellipses icon () and select Import or Import from CRM.



If the currency given in the file that is to be imported does not match with any of the currencies listed while the client was added, Then the default currency will be used.
The file imported should be in .xls or .xlsx or .csv format
The option Import from Zoho CRM is only available for administrators.
