Execute blueprints
Blueprints get executed once they are mapped to cards . When a new card is created, it's mapped to a published blueprint with a matching or no criteria. The mapped blueprint can be viewed using the preview button to the right of the page. However, blueprint preview permission can be restricted to user profiles from Profiles .
Users with permissions to perform the cards will be able to view the blueprint’s transitions as buttons in the card page. To perform a transition:
- Navigate to Cards and select the card to be executed.
- If you have valid permissions to execute the card, you will be able to view all the Next Actions.
- Click the transition name that you need to perform.
- Confirm your action.
Once a transition is performed, the card progresses to the next stage in the blueprint, and the associated actions, such as triggering emails, updating fields, triggering webhooks, and associating custom functions, get executed.
While performing the transition, you might sometimes be prompted to fill up field details. In such cases, you can enter the details and either click Save or Save as Draft.
When a transition is saved as draft,
- All users who can perform the transition will be able to view and edit the draft.
- Latest edits to the draft will overwrite the previous edits.
- If two users are drafting the details simultaneously, only one user will be able to save the draft or create the card.
Early Access
You can view the time taken to complete each stage of the Blueprint by clicking Preview to the right of the page. However, this feature is not enabled for all users. If you’d like to try it out, please email our support team for early access.
