In recruitment, ensuring a fair and unbiased evaluation process can be challenging, especially when interviewers may unintentionally be influenced by the opinions of others.
Zoho Recruit's Fair Evaluation addresses this problem by letting admins choose whether interviewers can see reviews submitted by others, and if so, when they can see it. This helps maintain objectivity, encouraging interviewers to provide their assessments based solely on their own interactions with the candidate.
Related Reviews are feedback submitted for other interviews for the same candidate, all tied to one job opening. These reviews show how the candidate performed in past interviews. Whether interviewers can see these reviews before submitting their own depends on the Fair Evaluation settings configured by the administrator.
Example
Let’s say a candidate, John Doe, applies for a Software Developer role in your company. He goes through a technical interview, a coding test, and an HR round. After the technical interview, you submit your feedback for the candidate. This feedback is displayed under Related Reviews when the interviewer for the coding test or the HR round submits their review.
How Does Fair Evaluation Work?
As mentioned earlier, fair evaluation lets admins choose whether interviewers can see Related Reviews for a candidate while they submit their own. This is achieved through three options, namely;
Private
Each interviewer can only see their own reviews. This ensures that your feedback is completely independent, allowing you to assess the candidate based solely on your own interaction without being influenced by other interviewers' opinions.
Restricted
Interviewers can view related reviews after submitting their own. This means you must first submit your feedback, ensuring your evaluation remains unbiased. Once you’ve submitted your review, you can access feedback from other interviewers to gain additional context.
Public
Interviewers can see related reviews any time during the process. This gives interviewers full visibility into the feedback from others before they submit their own, helping you consider all aspects of the candidate's performance before making your evaluation.
