Working with Zoho Show for Jira
Creating and uploading presentations
The Show for Jira add-on allows you to create and upload presentations within a project.
- Click Zoho Show from the Jira Board in the left panel.
- The Zoho Show Editor will open with All Presentations as the default screen in Jira.
- Click Create Presentation in the top-right corner of the Editor to begin creating a new presentation or click Upload to upload a presentation in Jira (accepts .ppt, .pptx, .pptsx formats).
Note: The Sort by option available in the top-right corner of the Editor allows you to arrange your presentations based on date or ascending/descending order.
Attaching Presentations to Jira Issues
You can add presentations to Jira Issues to convey key factors of an issue in a visual format.
To attach presentations to Jira Issues:
- Open your project in the Jira Board.
- Click Board in the side panel. The Board opens with a number of created Jira Issues Blocks.
- Click an Issue to open the details in pop-up window.
- Click Attach Presentation to select a presentation from the Show Presentations section. Click Attach to add the presentation to the Issue.
Using Jira Cards in your presentations
Zoho Show has come up with Cards specially designed to aid you in efficiently tracking project statuses and fixing project issues.
These Cards help you to pull and categorize the project or user details with respect to their status, priority, period, and more. This data can be represented as charts. Any updates to the project can be instantly reflected on the cards using the Sync option.
To use the Jira Cards in your presentations,
- Open the required presentation in the Zoho Show for Jira. Select the slide in which you want to insert the Card.
- Click AddOns in the top bar. A list of all the available Jira Cards display in a grid pattern.
- Select the Card of your choice from the displayed list and configure them as per requirement. The Card gets added to the selected slide along with your project details.
- Click Edit at the bottom of the Card to edit the card details or Sync to sync the project details to Card.
Publishing Presentations
The add-on allows you to publish your presentations as a read-only file to the public. Your published presentations can also be downloaded, made private, emailed, or shared with non-Jira users.
To publish a presentation:
- Select the presentation from your Jira Board. The presentation opens in the Zoho Show for Jira add-on.
- Click Share to open a share dialogue box.
- Click Publish in the dialogue box to make the presentation publicly visible.
- Click Copy in the dialogue box to copy the presentation link.
- Use the copied link to share your presentation with external users.
Note: You can embed the link to your published presentation on your website, social media pages, or blogs.
To make a published presentation private:
- Select the presentation from the Jira Board. The presentation opens in the Zoho Show for Jira add-on.
- Click Share to open a share dialogue box.
- Click Make Private in the dialogue box to unpublish and make it accessible only to project members.
The Show for Jira add-on also allows you to download presentations in .html and .pdf formats for later reference or sharing as as attachment.
To download a published presentation:
- Select the presentation from the Jira Board. The presentation opens in the Zoho Show for Jira add-on.
- Click File, then Download As, and then HTML Document or PDF to download the presentation in the selected format.
Playing and Duplicating Presentations
Use the Show for Jira add-on to present your slideshow without opening in a separate app.
To play or preview your presentations:
- Hover over the presentation in the Jira Board. The Play icon and duplicate presentation icon will become visible in the presentation.
- Click the Play icon to play the presentation in slideshow mode and click the duplicate presentation icon to create a copy of the presentation in the Show add-on.
