Video Thumbnail Customization
Be it a good or a bad impression, a video thumbnail says it all. A video thumbnail is essentially a snapshot that hints at what your video is all about, letting the viewer know what they're about to watch.
You can add a custom video thumbnail for your video while publishing from Zoho Social web and mobile applications to Facebook videos and reels, Instagram, X, YouTube, Pinterest, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Mastodon.
Adding custom and auto-generated thumbnails
1. Click on the New Post button on your Dashboard.
2. Type the content for your post and select the social channels you want to publish your content on.
3. Now, click on Attach multiple photos or a video icon on your Publishing Window and include a video you want to publish or schedule.
4. You can choose from a list of auto-generated thumbnails or choose to custom upload your own image as a video thumbnail. You can also choose a frame from your video to set as your video thumbnail.
To choose a frame from your video as a thumbnail:
1. Click on the ' +' icon next to the list of auto-generated thumbnails.
2. Now, tap on the Choose Frame option.
2. Now, tap on the Choose Frame option.
3. Hit the play button and stop when you find a frame that you want to set as a thumbnail.
The newly created thumbnail frame would be added along with the list of auto-generated thumbnail frames by Zoho Social.
To upload an image for your video thumbnail
1. Click on the ' +' icon.
2. Tap on the Upload Image option.
3. Now, select an image from your desktop and hit the Open button.
Your video thumbnail image can be upto 5MB in size.
You can always choose to edit the frame and the image you uploaded as a thumbnail for your video. To do this,
1. Click on the small Pencil icon on the bottom right corner of the frame or image you uploaded.
2. Reselect the frame or re-upload a new image to include as your video thumbnail.

1. Please ensure video dimensions are between 256x144 and 4096x2304 for LinkedIn.
2. For X, the video dimensions should be between 32x32 and 1280x1024.
