What is a Timer?
Timer in Solo helps you assign and calculate the amount of time taken to complete a job. You will be able to bill the customer based on the time spent on the job with the help of the Timer feature.
Add Timer on iOS
The following options are available to add Timer on iOS:
1. Through the + icon on the homescreen
Click the + icon on the home-screen and select Timer.
2. Inside a task
- Click the Settings icon in the bottom-left corner of the home page.
- Go to modules and select the Tasks Module.
- From the list of tasks, choose the task for which the timer needs to be added.
- Click Timer at the bottom of the screen.
3. By swiping right on a task
Swipe right on a task from the homescreen or task list inside the Task Module and choose Timer.
Add Timer on Android:
The following options are available to add Timer on Android:
1. Through the + icon on the homescreen
Click the + icon on the home-screen and select Timer.
2. Inside a task
- Click the Settings icon in the bottom-left corner of the home page.
- Go to modules and select the Tasks Module.
- From the list of tasks, choose the task for which the timer needs to be added.
- Click the three dots in the top-right corner of the screen and click Timer.
3. From the task list
Click the three dots adjacent to the tasks and click Timer.
How to run a timer
- You can start the timer by clicking on the Start button.
- You can pause or stop the timer anytime by clicking the Stop and Pause buttons respectively. When a timer is paused, you can start it again from the paused time.
- When a timer is stopped, you will have to start it again from the beginning.

Notes:
- To save a timer, it has to be associated with a task.
- Hourly charges and Duration adjustments must be done in the timer settings under the 'Settings'.
- A timer can be invoiced to a customer along with its associated task.
- A timer can be edited in multiple ways in Solo.
