Change the tax rate and disable taxes for customers in the US and Canada

To change the tax rate applied for customers on iOS:  

  1. Click Tax, just below the customer name on the invoice creation page.

  1. Click Tax in the Tax Information field.

  1. Taxes configured in the settings will be listed here. Choose the preferred tax rate or add a new tax rate. Click Save.


To change the tax rate applied for customers on Android:  

  1. Click on the edit symbol next to Tax, just below the customer name on the invoice creation page.

  1. Choose the preferred tax rate. Click Update.

 

 To disable tax for customers on iOS, follow the steps below: 

  1. Click Tax, just below the customer name on the invoice creation page.
  2. Choose Non-Taxable in the Tax Preference field.

  1. Enter the Exemption Reason and Tax Authority.
  2. Click Save.
 

To disable tax for customers on Android, follow the steps below:  

  1. Click on the edit symbol next to Tax just below the customer name on the invoice creation page.
  2. Choose Non-Taxable in the Tax Preference field.

  1. Enter Exemption Reason and Tax Authority.
  2. Click Update.
 

 Exemption reason

Exemption reasons can be added in the Tax field in the Settings tab by first selecting if the exemption is for a customer or item. While creating an invoice, if you need to exempt tax for a customer, choose the exemption reason from the list or add an exemption reason. In the same way, if tax needs to be exempt for an item, choose or create an exemption reason for that item.
